Design for better fan ducts?

Postby forg0t » Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:24 pm

I've already checked the usual 3D repositories but I haven't found anything. Has anyone designed a better fan duct for these printers where the duct wraps around each of the nozzles for better cooling? The printers are incapable of bridging or even simple overhangs. I know the nozzles have a motor to move up and down, but there is still space for a better shroud.

edit: or does the stl to this fan duct design exist? I think it could be easily modified to make space for the sock that are on Pro2s. Not sure why they didn't stick with this design: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0887/ ... 1524891957

Thanks but I have dual extruder and not looking to convert to single. I'm looking for a duct that can go all the way around the nozzle, something similar to lulzbot's solution for their aerostruder: https://ohai.lulzbot.com/media/uploads/ ... x0_q85.jpg

The entire black printed part is a fan shroud with openings from all 4 sides.

I dont think what you want exists. Quick search of "Raise3D" on thingiverse brought back

Thanks for that, do you know of anywhere that I can find a pinout of the breakerboard for the Pro2? It's a little different.

That I cant help with. I have the N1 and N2, not the Pro series.
