Issues printing with left hot end print quality- need help leveling both nozzles

Postby ChrisL » Thu Oct 25, 2018 3:28 pm

My left hot end is not printing the first layer well. Layers on top of the first look poor, but slowly get better and when the floor is completed its fine.

The problem seems to have started when I removed the right hot end to clean a clog. I think after replacing the right side I believe they became misaligned and the left is now too close or too far from the bed.

Any way to level both nozzles?

Would you like to advise whether you have a N series printer or Pro2 series printer first?
If Pro2 series, you need to jog the nozzle down to measure the nozzle height which is not necessary on N series.

I am also interested in this. I have a Pro2 Plus. My right nozzle got a jam, i removed the plastic that accumulated and now the nozzle is out of location relative to the bed.

How do you jog nozzles up / down manually and what is the process for calibrating nozzle height on a Pro2 Plus?

Thanks,

You can check the calibration steps at the end of the instruction:

The instructions you referenced are 1) poorly written and 2) a very long process for something so simple.

Why not design the machine to have an adjustment screw for one of the extruders? Instead, you want to heat, cool, home, adjust, etc...
This is a waste of time. I will build an adjustment screw for my machine to end this nonsense.

Thanks for your suggestion of the adjustment. Will have R&D team to have a look.
For the long process for install hotend, we think every step listed in the document is necessary to be checked and confirmed out of the safety concern.
