Filament Runout Sensor being flaky

Postby mattmflyings » Mon Oct 22, 2018 2:08 pm

Hello All,
I really like this Pro2, but here recently, the filament runout sensor has been pausing the print when there is filament in it. If I wiggle it around, the light turns off and I can resume the print. Moments later, the light is back on and the print is paused.
Is there any adjustments that can be made? I measured the filament and it is good. It is like the filament sensor is not in the correct position.

Have you seen any loose cable around the run-out sensor and extruder?
If you can't find anything abnormal, please open a support ticket at http://help.raise3d.com.

Thanks Vicky. I played with it a little more. It looks like the 2 screws that I have pointed out were not very tight.
Seems to be working properly now. Before, if the filament got to an angle like this, the light would turn on. I will see how it goes.

My print paused again on the first layer with a new roll of filament. It happened on the very first layer. I hit resume and watched it. It paused again after a few passes and I never saw the light turn on. I will create a support ticket, but I wanted to share this in case anyone else was having issues.
