Base layer for transition tower

Postby A_Bob » Wed Mar 07, 2018 3:25 pm

Having the ability to vary the transition tower infill works great for dual extrusion as it saves quite a bit of material if using it to wipe the nozzle. One issue I have is if the infill is set low there is not much material holding the tower to the bed. It would be nice to have a solid base layer for the transition tower to help with adhesion to the bed.

Agree on this recommendation, Mosaic had to do the same thing (solid base layer by default) for their purge tower.

As workaround until this gets implements and it is a tradeoff, using brim to aid adhesion. I know it puts it on everything, so you have it on the model too, but brim is pretty easy to just peel off with minimal defect.
