Different Infill percentage

Postby chengl03 » Sat Jun 17, 2017 5:09 am

Hello everyone,

I was just thinking, is it possible to have in Idea Maker to make a section of the infill a different percentage? Like making a vertical cut in the model to have one side of infill 10% and the other side 20%, and can make more vertical cut to make more sections for different infill. I ask this cause when I print and there is a curve/upside down hill and the model is hollow and filled with a percentage of infill, the curve need to have some kind of support from the inside to print it out better or print it without falling down, by doing the vertical cut instead, I won't have to make the whole infill like 25% and instead cut it by making only a section 10% (for support of curve) and the rest 5%. I hope this isn't too confusing.

I sometimes model in support and fill. I really do prefer the tree type support option that s3d has when having to fill a large area, like the inside of a helmet but you have to model it by hand for now.
