Z Hop - Hopping after every single line on 1st layer

Postby KS_Husker » Wed Sep 19, 2018 5:54 pm

I set the Z hop on my last print to be used and noticed that on the first layer, it does a Z-Hop for EVERY SINGLE line that it laid on the first layer that are right next to each other. WHY???

I only wanted it to be utilized when moving from one area to another hoping it would not run the nozzle over the rough areas and also to not leave scars.

Am I missing something with the functionality of the Z-Hop in Ideamaker?

Try rectilinear type line pattern for solid infill layers.
Then there will be one continuous line for one solid infill section instead of multiple individual lines.

I'm pretty sure that's what I have set. I'll double check though. Thanks. It didn't do it on the rest of the layers, just that first one for some reason.

If you still have issues with this, we'd like to help check what's going on by the gcode and data files.
