Re: BTSN2 Build Plate for Raise3D N2 Printers

Hi Michael Can you upload video showing how it work, especially the part where you can bend the plate to release the print object? Does it resist to crack under pressure better than borosilicate glass? I have already break my plate while trying to remove the large print object. As you mentioned tha...

BTSN2 Build Plate for Raise3D N2 Printers

The BTSN2 build plate, is a drop in replacement for the borosilicate glass plate that comes stock with N2, N2 Dual or N2+ from Raise3D. The BTSN2 build plate is a composite laminate glass fiber originally made for the aerospace industry and transfers heat from the build plate heater to the surface b...

Re: Spool holder thoughts

Is there something wrong with the current way filament is held? I don't like the angle of the filament delivery. The point at where the filament goes into extruder is too sharp of angle. I already had the pla snap, but I was around to feed it back in. It would of sucked and I would of lost my print...

Re: Spool holder thoughts

I think as we transition to larger spools, i.e. 3kg & 10kg spool in my case, we have to consider overhead solutions. In addition it does appear to help solve the feed angle issue. Here is my current overhead design, that works really well, and here are the STLs for the holders and spacers. http:...

Re: Spool holder thoughts

Might want to make sure the pipe is secure & won't fall into the printer.

Thanks for the spec Vicky, however I am no longer using the glass build plates with my N2, just too dangerous.

Since you asked, Here is my current list... Please be aware that some of these "fixes" may be fixed when you receive your printer. Please understand many here may or may not agree with some of my fixes, but I have found these to work, and obviously doesn't take into consideration all possi...

Re: Is the Raise3D N2+ a good printer? (need advice asap)

I really like the N2, and you seem to realize these large build volume printers, like the Raise3D N2+, at this price point, are rather unique. What follows is an HUGE over generalization observation: While there are a few design issues that I am sure (hope) will be addressed by Raise3D as part of th...

Re: N2 glass build plate specs?

Getting ready to do a custom run of the our new drop in replacement of the N2 build plate. It's in use by several other N2, N2+ owners now, for beta testing now. It's, lighter, transfers the build plate heat to the surface quicker, much safer, slightly flexible, flat ( ~0.02mm variation) and designe...

Re: Replacement XY drivers?

UPDATE: SD5984 ran perfect, never missed a step for 5 days. The formula for adjusting the VRef is based on Irms (RMS current) vs Imax (peak current).  These TMC2100 stepper drivers seems to be slightly closer to marginal specs than the Allegro A4988 to heat and continuous current. I recommend you re...

Re: It is possible to print without raft?

I don't use brims or rafts... Currently on the N2 I am printing parts 285mm X 285mm@0.1mm. I have the build plate level ~0.1mm across the entire surface. However I do a first layer at 0.2 or 0.3mm . Don't get me wrong, it did take me about a month to get to this point. Can you explain what you mean...

Re: BB-8 1:1 Scale Build

Also a BB8 member following your build thread. I have a basic question. When you printed out the experimental large files did you use the slicer software that came with your printer or something else like Simply3D? When I tried to print out any of the larger files using the slicer software. The pri...

Yes I see that illustration. However I also see posts showing confusion when looking at housing in reality.

Which one is on the current shipping models?

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

For clarification, could someone that has either Rev 1 Cast and/or Rev 2 CNC post actual pics of the Rev 1 Cast & Rev 2 CNC?

Just so we have clear Rev 1 & Rev 2 captured in this thread.
