Re: why are the electrical connectors glued into place?

Yeh, the big problem is that the latch for these high current connectors doesnt latch properly

Re: Remarkable new feature in Slic3r - Adaptive Layer Height

And print Inner shells first when edges slope out (bottom of a sphere) and print outer layer first at the top where edge slopes in. Doing this may eliminate the need for fill.

Re: Bed Leveling - N2+ (My Experience & Solution)

Ahh, I misunderstood! I put the springs between the bed frame and the heated bed. Sometimes it leaves no tension on the center screw!

Re: thermal runaway protection

Hate soldering on pc boards, seems they also use a higher melting pt solder. Spent an hour practicing and my heat shrink is terrible. Suggest- do not try this without a solder sucker. Here is my layout:

Re: Bed Leveling - N2+ (My Experience & Solution)

excellent work. My only suggestion is to make the spring in the center stronger (2x higher spring constant) since it is trying to push up against all the screws around the outer edge pulling down.

Re: Not sticking, powder printing.

a tip I got from the folks at raise: An easy way to dry prints is to put them on the bed, covered by a regular cardboard box and leave the bed on 60C overnight.

Re: Bed auto-leveling mod?

AFAIK The "leveling" sensors actually just measure and map the bed height differences and that is then included in the g-code

Re: Print slow, me or Idea?

any settings in firmware are not known to the slicer and will always override your g-code. This is an interesting problem. May I suggest that you send the model and g-code to Vicky to let raise analyze it?

Re: Looking at a Raise3D N2 (non-plus)

fwiw - I use several types of 3d printers. All of them clog occasionally, no way around that using fdm. I did the bed mod with the springs and thumb screws - big improvement if you need to print thin or big items. As opposed to others, I reset Z frequently depending on what I am printing and how muc...
