Re: Blurred camera images on Pro2+

It's just a poor camera, not out of focus.

Re: Instructions for N-series camera confusing or wrong

The camera would be easier to attach if it actually came with double-sided tape. None was included with my camera package.

Vicki - why don't you just say that the N-series is discontinued?

The answer is that they are the same.

BTW, consider proofreading your posts before you hit the Submit button - they are almost completely unreadable.

Re: Multi part G Code question

Use a different slicer. iM has a number of shortcomings, and sequential printing is probably the most major missing function. Among "free" slicers, Cura is king of the hill, followed by Slic3r and Kisslicer. All three offer sequential printing as well as other useful features, such as vari...

Instructions for N-series camera confusing or wrong

Vicki - Looking at the installation instructions for the N-series camera, on Page 2, step 4, there are three diagrams. Two of them show the camera mounted in the right-front corner, while the one in the center shows it going in the right-rear. Is this an error, or perhaps a diagram for the N1? Which...

Re: Silicone Hot End Covers anyone tried these?

Finally received the silicone covers yesterday. It certainly has been a lengthy process to get R3D to ship them.

They fit and work fine - you can actually touch a 205C hotend (briefly) without burns.

Re: Silicone Hot End Covers anyone tried these?

"...anyone tried these?"

Few people have been able them, as R3D hasn't bothered to ship them yet, unless you buy a new hot-end. They keep coming up with excuses, but these are almost as long overdue as the mythical cameras.

Thank you. I finally got a shipped notice today.

9/9 - Nope - same old BS of sending out a shipped notice without actually shipping the product.

Don't overlook better hot-end cooling. These extruder fan shrouds work better than OEM by moving more air through the cooling fins: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3001130

I believe the web page never said the hot-end covers were pre-orders, just the camera.

Where the devil are the silicone hot-end covers?

What happened to the silicone hot-end covers that were supposedly available from the web site more than a month ago?
R3D doesn't seem to actually get around to shipping parts lately...

Re: Printing ABS

In my experience Buildtak isn't worth a darn for ABS. Assuming you are using the Buildtak side of the build plate, flip it over and print on the glass side and use glue stick. I print all sorts of difficult-adhesion ABS pieces and never have a part come loose with various brands. Set buildplate temp...

Re: N series camera - missing matching Raise Touch update

Has anyone received their on-order camera for the N-series? I ordered one a month ago, and received a "Shipped" notice for the order, but no camera, and no software to make it work anyway.

What is going on with the lengthy N2 camera delivery now? Does this thing actually exist?

You could also route the filament around the runout sensor to see if that's the cause of the problem.

Re: Filament changing at printing

What a silly waste of time. Don't do any of that procedure. Instead, a) disconnect the Bowden tube at the extruder, b) cut off the first filament a half-inch above the extruder, c) reload the tube with the new filament, d) manually follow the old stuff into the extruder with the new filament end unt...
