Re: N series camera - missing matching Raise Touch update

Has anyone received their on-order camera for the N-series? I ordered on a month ago, and received a "Shipped" notice for the order, but no camera and no software to make it work anyway.

What is going on with the lengthy N2 camera delivery now? Does this thing actually exist?

Re: Lots of Layer Shift N2+ Dual

You could also route the filament around the runout sensor to see if that's the cause of the problem.

It's certainly normal on the N2 series. The power supply fan sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

Re: Filament changing at printing

What a silly waste of time. Don't do any of that procedure. Instead, a) disconnect the Bowden tube at the extruder, b) cut off the first filament a half-inch above the extruder, c) reload the tube with the new filament, d) manually follow the old stuff into the extruder with the new filament end unt...

Re: Raise Touch 0_9_11_6151 some fixes

I always manually preheat the bed to 2C above the desired temperature before starting a print. While that is happening, I also preheat the nozzle to 150C or so, so it gets up to operating temp sooner when I actually print. This way I'm in control of the time, instead of sitting around waiting for th...

Sounds like the delay between raisetouch sending the new setting and the motion control Marlin feeding back the new temp.

Re: Loading filament doesn't stop!

"I am feeding the new filament to follow the old filament after cutting it, but do I have to do it by manually hit the E feeding in the menu?"

Yes, exactly. I usually feed about 300mm of new filament, to ensure that the previous filament is completely purged from the nozzle.

Since the camera is not shipping yet, it doesn't much matter whether the SW is there or not.

ideaMaker/N2 hidden Layer count info

I discovered a nice little feature of iM and the printer: when printing, if you tap "Height" on either the latest iM or on the printer LCD display, it toggles between showing Height in mm with percentage of height complete, to displaying the current layer number and total layers in the mod...

Just don't use that process at all - it's pointless.

Re: Loading filament doesn't stop!

Don't use filament unloading/loading at all. Just cut the old filament just above the extruder, heat the hotend, and feed material to follow the old filament in with the new filament. Unloading the filament causes a significant number of jams, when the hot filament catches in the transition from hot...

Re: Feature Request: Blip fan to 100%

Vicky, it doesn't seem to matter what you add to the development list - nothing ever comes of it, the N2 camera being an example of never delivering what was promised more than a year ago. Sad, but as a result, Raise3D is no longer on my "recommended list" of 3D printers, because you never...

Re: Pro Upgrade Kit

Apparently Raise3D is not interested in offering any upgrades for the N2, and has chose to stall the N2 owners forever with ongoing bullshit and no upgrades. If anyone asks, I won't ever be recommending Raise3D to anyone, because of these continuing lies about "upgrades" that might meet th...

Is "very soon" 2018, or is it like the camera for the N2, promised, but never delivered?

Re: Shifted print

I don't know if it is related to the shifting, but I'm hoping you mean .15 or .2mm layer height, rather than 1.5 to 2.0mm. The images are too blurry to tell for sure, but they do not appear to show a 1.5mm layer height. Generally, layer height should be in the range of .3 to .7 of the nozzle size fo...
