Re: Raise3d N2 Clogged nozzle with Wood Filament

I believe there is some misunderstanding happening here. It's not the hard unless something is seriously wrong. Can you post some photos of how you are trying to get this done? I can't take a picture while trying to take it apart. I was following the Raise 3D video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Raise3d N2 Clogged nozzle with Wood Filament

I don't understand your question. What is "The End" that you want to push out? With things heated up, put an adjustable wrench on the heater block. Then put a 6mm wrench on the nozzle. Unscrew the nozzle from the heater block. You already have the set screw for the throat tube removed. Af...

Re: Raise3d N2 Clogged nozzle with Wood Filament

Will I be able to push the end out once I heat it up?

I can't pull the nozzle up through the piece and cannot take the heat sink off. It has been very frustrating and I can't use the printer until I can clean or swap them out.

Re: Raise3d N2 Clogged nozzle with Wood Filament

I am so frustrated with this printer I am about to throw it away and write off the cost. I have tried following every video guide and tech guide to remove the hot end V2 and cannot get it out of the printer. I have both sides disassembled and dangling and cannot remove either one. The fans came off ...

Re: Raise3d N2 Clogged nozzle with Wood Filament

it's the wood particle that's clogging the nozzle, not plastic. You can't quite melt off wood. Or if you heat it too much it might caramelize the plastic and wood together, leading to a harder clog. You have to be very thorough when cleaning out non-PLA particles with exotic filaments. regarding Wo...

Re: Raise3d N2 Clogged nozzle with Wood Filament

Can I use a socket to just unscrew the nozzle form the bottom with removing everything or will that break something? This topic was made just for that question: http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4067&p=19962&hilit=snapped#p19962 That makes sense now that I know. I will just d...

Raise3d N2 Clogged nozzle with Wood Filament

I purchased Hatchbox Wood filament and tried a couple test prints without issue. I started a 5 hour print and came back a couple hours in and it was air printing. I stopped the print and was able to unload the filament but am unable to clear the nozzle. Cleaning steps: 1. I heated the hot end to 240...

Re: Cannot get a good print

Glad to hear things are going well. YOu had a lot of good advice from a lot of people. Few more things that may have been said - or maybe not. 1 - Raise3D PLA is awesome. I use it all the time. It's probably some of the easiest I've worked with. 2 - i use the exact same settings for Raise3D PLA tha...

Re: Cannot get a good print

To answer your questions from my findings. Do you recommend: (1) peeling off the buildtak and trying to go right on the glass without the raft and/or (2) taking off the cover and printing without it and/or (3) raising the temp of the bed past what I have it at now (50C) (1) I am still printing on th...

Re: Cannot get a good print

I believe I have the issues resolved now. Three successful prints in a row and much cleaner. I am also using the default settings with only a couple of changes. Changes made: 1. Purchased Hatchbox PLA. The print is smooth and easily removes from the bed. Barely any pressure is required and no tools...

Re: Cannot get a good print

They look better but still bad. Turn off Coasting under Retraction settings. Set it to 0. This will improve your print (and fixes Preview image). Also set Minimal Layer Print Time to default 15seconds. When you start over a template from scratch make sure you Restore Defaults in the settings. Resto...

I am using the newest now. After checking the website the software and firmware were quite a few revisions out of date. I have updated them all successfully and will try the XYZ brick again before moving on to other items.

Re: Cannot get a good print

Also attach the gcode file. Not sure what you attached. Cant open it. It's not GCODE, it's a print settings template from IM. You can import it and see the settings. I didn't see anything out of line. I've printed that red material without issue. That said, a .1mm layer with a .4mm nozzle can be a ...

Re: Cannot get a good print

Oh sorry I didn't know the initial attachment was supposed to be imported. I checked the preview of your imported settings and I'm getting much more bad preview, not sure if this contributes to bad prints: First is with your imported settings. Second are my own settings. Not sure if the import affe...

Re: Cannot get a good print

IMG_0315.JPG IMG_0317.JPG IMG_0318.JPG Results of the print cube. As you can see it isn't very smooth. I did not print any shells with the print or a raft. Attached my slicing settings. What do you mean no shells? I think ideamaker defaults to minimum 1 shell. Try printing with 2 shells. Most peopl...

Re: Cannot get a good print

Show us pictures of how your raft and brim looks too. Wondering if they are too squished. Have you tried any other filament? What is your filament flowrate setting? What speed are you printing your shells at? Try this cube for fast calibration tests; it's fast and got complex geometry https://www.t...
