Re: Improvements by using TMC2130 driver.

Motor rotation only changes if you use different stepper drivers for the extruders or Z axis that were previously using A4988 drivers. In other words, I only recommend changing XY drivers from the factory TMC2100s to now TMC2224s. Being the same Trinamic brand, they've managed to not change rotation...

Re: ABS print settings

Caution, I should have warned, that screenshot is from a profile tuned for a giant honking 0.80mm nozzle.
So what worked for that profile- may not be ideal for a smaller nozzle. Just saying, i was trying to show where one setting was (first layer speed).

Re: Do they sell a larger size nozzle for the Pro 2?

Examples would be: #1 N series existing nozzles do fit. The primary difference we can tell (without CAD drawings or side by side measurements) is that the hex size (what you would tighten with a wrench or nut driver) is the change and why they look different. #2 E3D V6 style nozzles are known to fit...

Re: ABS print settings

Couple of things: #1 ABS is very prone to moisture and this turns to steam. "lots of "bobs and zits" is that normal?" http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4120&p=20119 #2 First layer is controlled by 3 things: nozzle height to bed distance (AKA leveling, Z-gap, or...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

Could you please let me know where I can see the list of possible upgrade kits? They are not yet listed- at least that's the most recent answer. Posted Fri Jun 15, 2018 9:32 pm http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8978&p=32754#p32754 I'm so sorry but the news release of the Upgrade ...

No, the best way is still to inspect it and just do it (apply threadlock) yourself. It doesn't take that long to do it right and you know it's done right- because you did it.

Re: STL Design Shared

Vicky, could you find the power socket cover I just posted the picture of?? I know it's 3D printed so that means somebody has the STL at the factory. Just trying to add safety for those of us with early N2 and N2Plus from the kickstarter. I had used a big piece of heatshrink to make mine safer but ...

oh okay. NBD. Maybe someday they will add it. Sorry, I didn't mean any of this to be a snap at you a new user, just trying to show frustration with the situation, that we have asked for better features, you are not alone to be a little unhappy with "my videos trapped forever on a 7inch screen ...

Re: Time lapse question

oh okay. NBD. Maybe someday they will add it. No, it is a "big deal". You have a huge group of owners of the previous N series spanning over 2 years waiting for a promised camera, then it only shows up on the Pro2 series, and then even when you get it, you find out many of the things user...

Re: Time lapse question

To focus the camera, you would have to turn the lens on the front of it. These are just simple little camera modules with fixed focus. That lens might be glued from the factory to prevent it from loosening.
You might have to remove the housing to best make the adjustment.

Re: Time lapse question

I think you missed it when I said- you users asking for the camera feature, well I was a beta tester and I said back then you are not going to be happy with the features.

NO, you can only view it on the printer and there is no transfer function.

Re: Raise3D Pro2 initial impression

Also, while on Pro2 specific improvements over N series, is anyone with a Pro2 using the Ethernet port?
Can you confirm transfer rates and other connection related details using Ethernet to show that this is a fixed or improved specific detail of the Pro2?

I know they do to use the same cable but I am experiencing the same erratic temperature problems, except this time I get no error just burnt filament! If you could,...

As far as what surface you put on the glass, there are a million options and opinions.
I use glass + Aquanet harispray dried on the glass, but others like PEI or dozens of other preparations.

Re: BuildTak damaged, which parts need replacement

Couple of things to know: #1 glass is harder than brass, meaning in general, brass cannot scratch glass. Short of cracking and shattering the plate, no you did not hurt the glass. #2 because the nozzle is softer than glass, a serious nozzle strike and dragging though buildtack and ramming hard into ...

Re: Infill in check fixtures

Bottom line in my experience, shells are stronger than infill. The most common problem is that at some point, many mechanical objects have small holes often near an edge or a thinner section between 2 outer walls. As you increase shell count, then too many results in a gap, and because that gap was ...
