Re: ZHop Loud on N2 Plus, Quiet on N1?

You might want to go back and read the topic on the Z axis nut modifications for the 2 series regarding changing from the factory system of intentionally loose mounting screws to a coupling (3d printed or otherwise)- That's where the sound is coming from when you rapidly reverse direction on Z and t...

I think you must use USB not an SD card. The reason is, different storage devices are seen differently and so USB is the device it looks for to update.

Re: Feature Request #5 Power Saving Mode

The lights and many fans are not software controlled. There is no standby mode on the main power supply, there is no way to go to sleep and wake up.
It's not software holding you back, this printer is not capable or designed to ever do this.

Re: Heat bed keep heating even when no print

Just an educated guess knowing this printer very well. If you place the bed glass clips in the wrong spot and they short the bed heater traces to ground of the frame that would cause the heater to heat uncontrolled Or the more unlikely thing is the FET shorted on the mainboard and is damaged. Follow...

Re: Board Error 00 Extruder switched off. MAX...

Again, the facts: Printer powered on and passed basic power on test. It then started a print and heated to the setpoint. It moved the head and for a time period was printing and moving the head. Meanwhile, the wiring was flexing with every head move. The error "Error: thermal runaway extruder s...

Re: Board Error 00 Extruder switched off. MAX...

The printer fired up and made it halfway through a print before the extruder heater temp slowly began dropping from the set temp until the error - "Error: thermal runaway extruder switched off" popped up requesting a machine reset. With a temp set @ 235C the error will not be triggered un...

Re: Thermal-Protector - available soon to all

@Raise3D: I got my Pro2 in July 2018, did it come with the thermal protector?? No, because this entire topic is about an N series specific upgrade. The Thermal Protector is only for N series printers. Pro2 has a differently designed controller board. According to documentation provided by raise3D i...

Re: Thermal Protector - Cable Won't Plug In

We apologize for our negligence that we overlook the differences of the connectors between early batches and later ones. Thanks so much for Jetguy’s explanation and helpful instructions. Either removing the pin from the ribbon cable side or cutting the pin from the protector can work. However, from...

Preservation, not conservation. To maintain something from degrading VS Not using something to excess thus depleting it. Yes, the basics of maintaining filament and storing and protecting it. http://3dprintingforbeginners.com/how-to-store-3d-printing-filament/ https://rigid.ink/blogs/news/how-to-dry...

Re: Printing Ninjatek Armadillo

Again, sorry, you posted your question in settings, and I want to be up front and honest with you, no magical setting in software is going to make Ninjaflex not jam in your system. Yes, you can print slower, use settings that minimize retraction and slow everything down especially infill and that ov...

Re: Printing Ninjatek Armadillo

Well, as you probably know, any flexible filament is a challenge in 3D printers. This is because we push the filament into the hotend with a set of gripping gears and if that filament flexes, then it binds against the walls of the feedpath and very little force actually makes it into pushing down in...

Re: Thermal Protector - Cable Won't Plug In

Again, let's make sure this is clear, you aren't doing ANYTHING to your mainboard. I've only shared those pictures to show that over time, they first used a non-shrouded row of pin header for the ribbon cable and then later, used a shrouded socket. The problem is, in order to key the non-shrouded, t...

Re: Thermal Protector - Cable Won't Plug In

You might want to check- you may have to remove a pin if your cable has a pin inserted into the IDC a key for the older mainboard that did not have shrouded headers. Start reading here and follow down a few replies. http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6580&start=20#p28328 Suggestion...

Re: Cold nozzles reading 240° C

With the most recent answer, not only is the Pro2 a dead end issue. I feel sorry for any customer who has fallen for the marketing and hype and bought into this printer and now you have to live with the limitations and design decisions. Apparently Raise 3D has no intentions of acknowledging any conc...
