Re: Error Symbol?

I'll give you 2 examples of when I use that command icon. #1 When I perform bed leveling using a dial indicator mounted to the extruder head. Depending on the machine state before you start this process, if you command a home command for XY axis or any jog, then the motor state is automatically enab...

Re: Error Symbol?

No, that is not an error symbol. That icon is a command to disable the motors so they can be manually moved after they are locked aka enabled after any jogging move. Again, that is an icon link to a command sent to disable the locked state of a stepper motor when it is enabled. Motors are enabled au...

Re: Layer Shift after pause

Just to make sure since you did not explicitly state what you updated- you know the system is 2 control boards and totally separate firmware versions right? Raise touch is the front LCD control panel and the Raise touch application that gives you the user interface and sends the gcode commands to th...

Re: G-Code for ALT_MOT ?

Again, based on what even casual research says: #1 nobody I can find uses that 6th axis and a stepper to do nozzle lifting using a stepper axis #2 everyone doing this is using RC servos and PWM to tell the servo the up and down positions including Raise3D themselves on the Pro2 series https://reprap...

Re: G-Code for ALT_MOT ?

No, you will have to modify the source code firmware and flash custom firmware. The current firmware is only assigned 2 extruders and XYZ (5 motors in total). While you can twiddle and PWM pin outputs using gcode, to drive a stepper driver you need to control Enable, Direction, and Step pins in that...

Re: LIN_ADVANCE = better extrusion control

Being honest, I wish you would leave it enabled. My testing and understanding is that the code doesn't run the LCD subroutines if no LCD is attached at boot. So other than flash size, no reason not to enable it (again, my opinion). Now granted, I will fully give you credit because more than once, I'...

Re: LIN_ADVANCE = better extrusion control

The following feature is removed in the precompiled files: REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER Thanks for your work on updating this. Just curious what your motivation was for dropping this since one can be used in a pinch if the Raise touchscreen fails. Also, when doing high segment coun...

Re: Unable to heat either extruder......

I want to help you, honestly I do. Here is what I know and it's actually common to both previous N series and current Pro2 series. Yes, they use different mainboards and extruder breakouts, but Raise 3D maintained key elements the same between both versions. #1 the temperature reporting is analog vo...

Just a personal thanks to you ABH and all you do for the group with your custom firmware.
Sadly, Pro2 users cannot take advantage of it.

Hopefully you can walk it through. I just bench tested this procedure with a raise 3D mainboard set beside me while typing and confirmed the expected outputs based on the procedure.

Re: Board Error 00 Extruder switched off. MAX...

If you unplug both the thermal protector and you unplug the ribbon cable so that nothing is plugged into the mainboard, wait at least 10 minutes with the printer in the off state, Then in theory, you should this time get a mintemp error upon booting. That would indicate the mainboard with no thermal...

Re: Board Error 00 Extruder switched off. MAX...

So, a maxtemp is created under a couple of conditions. #1 the AD597 thermocouple amp checks to see the thermcouple connected (the thermocoouple to the screw terminals on the breakout). If not, that then throws a high value which should trigger the firmware maxtemp. Again, the first stage of error de...

Re: Cold nozzles reading 240° C

For what it's worth....... I've had the Pro2 for less than 2 months and according to the DashBoard stats: 40d 14h 14m of print time, Material used 9.33kg and Files Printed 116. Let's get this fixed! And thank-you Jetguy for raising the alarm and being so helpful. FWIW, I waited on posting this, I c...

Re: Lots of Layer Shift N2+ Dual

Again, just the facts as I see this problem: #1 The user is printing ABS with the printer enclosed. This increases the temp of the motors and electronics #2 The user has a dual extruder, which means a second nozzle to hit and grab the print and cause a skipped step, let alone the moving mass of the ...

Re: Lots of Layer Shift N2+ Dual

Started an 80 hour print and came in to the office to find the following shifts. Again, right there, production, that's what I call just a bad plan. You put all your eggs in one basket. I think you might even be printing more than one part at a time? That means you wait 80 hours to fail, and then h...

Re: Lots of Layer Shift N2+ Dual

I do understand your frustration so don't take the previous reply as my only answer, I'm just astounded that's the answer you got and tried. Skipping steps with long print and especially tall prints- just understand that skipping a step means that some force was greater than the motor could overcome...

Re: Lots of Layer Shift N2+ Dual

I hope that's a typo- jerk set to 300mm/s??? That is the single worst answer I have ever seen posted in his forum. That's insane on a level words cannot really do justice if you understand what the jerk setting is and does. Seriously, tech support told you 300mm/s?? http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopi...

Re: Pre purchase questions

So to my questions: 1) As I have looked thru the forums I see some people have had success using TPU and Ninjaflex after upgrading to the Bondtech dual extruder is this accurate? 2) If using Bondtech extruder is it still recommended to only use the left nozzle? 3) Can a Buildtack flex plate be inst...

Also, this is not just me saying this. Raise 3D tech support actually said the same thing, just not as verbose. http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=9746#p33556 and Please do not heat your printer temporary until we find the issue, as your nozzles are not read proper temperature now.
