Re: Hardened nozzles

Again, being honest, I do not know what Raise3D is thinking anymore??? Why on earth would they remove any description or benefits from the product page of the nozzles they are selling that are an upgraded nozzle? Worse, through the partnership which i cannot imagine is that great of a deal, they str...

Re: Z Hop at the end

OK, so in a profile you would go to the gcode tab under advanced, and you want to edit the ending gcode. Ideamaker ending gcode edit.jpg This is the original gcode as shown above M104 T0 S0 M104 T1 S0 M140 S0 G91 G1 E-1 F300 G1 Z+0.5 E-5 X-20 Y-20 F{travel_xy_speed} G28 X0 Y0 M84 G90 However, you wa...

Re: Your favorite PLA Brand

I primarily use 3 brands or types of filament: #1 Raise 3d Premium PLA has been a very good filament and I've used well over 40 rolls of it. #2 MakerGeek's Raptor filament is my go to PLA for parts that need strength and toughness. That said, it's not all roses, I have had it jam from oversized fila...

Re: Print Quality Issue, PLA on PLA, Dual Extrusion

Actually, there are now 2 ways of doing it. Yes, the old way is put the offset into the ideamaker profile, and then keep in mind, only that tuned profile and gcode made with that profile is tuned for your printer. OR In firmware on the printer, enable the new toolhead offsets in firmware, go back to...

Re: Raise3d Pro2 Review in Deutsch Video

Watching an alternate video of the Pro2, it may be hard to see, but the extruder fan is spinning in this video while hot and while loading. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20qeZe1jDaQ At around 4:20 or so, they are showing the loading process of preheating and then filament extruding and again, whil...

Again, I would immediately contact support and I suggest you do not attempt to print or heat the system until you get an answer from Raise 3D tech support.

Re: Raise3d Pro2 Review in Deutsch Video

Again, in the video, we see the screenshot and timestamp the hotends are heating and well above 50C. On the previous N series, the extruder cooling fans were wired to constant on ports (not software/firmware controlled). My understanding is that maybe they enabled the extruder cooling fan to be soft...

Re: Raise3d Pro2 Review in Deutsch Video

Google translate to German because it's 5AM and my German is not as good as it used to be.

Re: Raise3d Pro2 Review in Deutsch Video

And, that printer already has a serious fault out of the box while watching the video. Your extruder cooling fan does not appear to be spinning while extruders are heated. The big fan in the front cools the critical heatsink of the hotend, so at minute 7:54 in the video, you first showed the LCD con...

Again, the only scenario that after grounding your finger and attempting touch that 1/2 the screen responds to no touch, then the overlay may be damaged or the ribbon cable to the back of the LCD itself.

Also, link to the STL or share the gcode, but the STL will tell us if it cna even be sliced in vase mode without modifications.

See this topic for some vase mode tips.

Also note, there is a quirk with the thin wall settings in Ideamaker that can create spurious points never part of the model.

Re: travel across print in vase mode

Vase mode only works if the object being sliced is not already hollow. Otherwise, it does not slice in vase mode even when vase mode is selected. This is true of most slicers, not just ideamaker.

Re: half of the touch screen does not work

Just a couple of other notes here: #1 the screen is capacitive touch based, meaning the screen needs your finger to be grounded. Since you wear rubber shoes and the screen sits inside a plastic box, when touches do not register, take your second hand and place it on the printer and touch a metal scr...

Re: half of the touch screen does not work

That sounds like physical damage to the LCD or a loose cable. The actual LCD display portion is driven via a thin flat ribbon cable, then the touch signal to the board and backlight are driven with a wire style ribbon cable. Technically the same information as the Acadia applies here. The difference...

#1 the V2H nozzles are specifically made for the printer by MicroSwiss for Raise3D https://www.raise3d.com/collections/3d-printer-spare-parts/products/hot-end-v2h-nozzle. Re: Bondtech and 3dsolex nozzles

Again, sorry if I'm not giving the exact answer you wanted, but I can say this, #1 I ordered the same 3D Solex nozzle set for the Raise 3D printer. #2 I'm using a Bondtech extruder on most of my printers, just not the biggest machine running the 3mm filament (that runs a Titan Aero), but I am runnin...

Re: Bondtech and 3dsolex nozzles

Also, I have an ABS profile for a 0.8mm Solex nozzle from Vice Chief that prints OK, but the truth is, we got much better results from S3D with these larger nozzles. This was used on My N2 plus with a Bondtech and normal 1.75mm filament. The slicing settings don't change, the only place where 3mm is...
