Re: Printer Filament Monitor

Any information about the new detection system? Where does it mount? Does it detect a clogged nozzle like originally intended in this thread, or does it just do run out? After it pauses on a empty spool, what are the steps? Is it simple as unload command, load a new spool, purge and continue? I'm a...

Re: Printer Filament Monitor

based on the design, it looks like this unit fits on top of the stock extruder block. you might want to note that. people with bondtech extruders will not be able to use this part. That's why I want a little more info before pre-ordering, and benefits it would provide over just a simple e-stop swit...

Re: Printer Filament Monitor

An update to what Vicky previously mentioned, we are preparing for our Pre-order phase of the Filament detection system. We should have some more solid info for you guys by the end of this year. We want to be able to provide the correct info all at once rather then piece it out over time now. Any i...

Re: MID PRINT FILAMENT LOADING

I thought I had the latest touch screen firmware, but I'll have to check. Maybe I just wasn't hitting the right buttons.

Re: ideaMaker 3.0-RC Release Note Updated Rev. 3.0.5 2017.12.18

Starting position Z-Hop Sometimes I use the Z-Hop option. At the moment it is so that at startup the Z start height is approached first and then the first XY position. That's not good, because the braces can get in the way. I mean in the last version 2.6 this was not so. zhop.JPG +1 on this as well...

MID PRINT FILAMENT LOADING

A great and useful feature would be able to change filament spools mid print, for example, say there is not enough material on the spool. There is all the talk about filament run out sensors, but then what? Try and re-feed new materiel in while the print is going? Its possible, but not very reliable...

Re: ideaMaker 3.0-beta Release Note 2017.10.23

For XY size compensation, i normally print 0.18 mm over. To get correct size parts, do I type in 0.18 or -0.18?

Re: Print not centered

Thanks Vicky, I'll definitely have to try that. I got a large print to work, but cracked the glass trying to get it off, so I'll be down for a while.

Re: Print not centered

I'm also having similar issues, I'm around the 28mm off as well. I'd like to do a print that is close to the 305mm limit. is there any way to get this extra amount back? If i shift the global offset, it just cuts the print off (how I measured 28mm) but if i don't shift, it will print over both edges...
