Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

working on upgrading my trinus right now. all axis are on linear drive shafts so it produces excelent quality. but it can't go fast. The biggest issue is the hotend, which they claimed was going to be all metal, but it is not. It is a very compact extruder with a PTFE lining in the throat tube down ...

Re: Bad adhesion of Buildtak

I've printed large parts in ABS the size of the printer and it always warpped. It's a matter of getting the heat on the hot bed at the right place. I think I ultimately went to PLA+ instead but it depends on what your goal is.

Re: Update FW... HOW?

hit print
go to where the file is located.
it should have a gear icon.
touch the file and it will ask if you want to flash the firmware.

Re: repetier firmware

here is the verdict on repetier firmware. the firmware itself is simply configured for the printer. nothing fancy. however, the touchscreen needs to be changed over to run repetier-server, which has a touchscreen interface. the best way for this to happen would be for raise3d to setup an OEM license...

Re: Update FW... HOW?

if you have a working firmware that will report back the messages that the touchscreen is looking for, you simply use the touchscreen to select the file like you would a gcode. it will apply the firmware to the motion controller. if the firmware does not report back an initsd fail, it will report ba...

Re: repetier firmware

It looks like there is an option to get this working without any fancy changes to the firmware. but it involves getting repetier-server to run on the pcDRUINO. But it sounds like repetier-server can use the touchscreen interface.

I was asking about the printer firmware, not what version of S3D you are using.

what i meant by hotend was the tip of the nozzle. including the nozzle as part of the hotend.

Re: dual print with S3D and Bondtech

I'm guessing you meant 1.1.1 as there is no 3.1.1 that I know of. This code isn't from me, it is the code that raise3d setup in ideamaker. i just added the line to set your feedrate. and filled in the values for the base on your code. however when i had mine spit out a gcode file, my travel speed ca...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

you would need to switch the printer over to bowden to use those and replace the PTFE feedtube to a peak feedtube. those are copying what the Prometheus is doing. part of the prometheus design was to use a special feedtube to make sure the filament was reload-able. I would also redesign the top plat...

Re: dual print with S3D and Bondtech

First question is, what firmware are you using? what type of bondtech do you have on the direct and the bowden extruders? This is the gcode start script out of ideamaker for 2 extruders. G21 G90 M107 G28 X0 Y0 G28 Z0 G1 Z15.0 F{travel_speed} T1 G92 E0 G1 F200 E10 G92 E0 G1 F200 E-{retraction_dual_am...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

as nice as dual extruders sound, without a very complicated and probably exspensive setup, it is not really practical imo. the second hotend has too much chance to hit the print due to being misaligned. or the first hotend may do it on material printed from the first. given the options out there for...

auto z screw leveling

I'm not sure if this will work, but an idea just popped in my head. use a micro stepper motor to build a z screw replacement that can be attached to the empty stepper driver slot on the motion controller board. install a pressure sensor for the hotend nozzle to hit during the bed auto leveling funct...

repetier firmware

Re: Project: The next heated bed

I've been working on the configuration right now on the repetier firmware. while there are some settings that I have not figured out yet. I've had to select the temp sensors. I thought it would be important to make this post. if you have changed the temperature sensor on the bed, you need to update ...

Re: Orb Polymer out of business ???

BBB doesn't do anything really. better to contact the FTC or the AG for their state. given that it is interstate commerce, FTC is probably the better choice. I've had a simular issue with the people who made our camera. I signed up for their service, which never really worked. they had no way to can...
