Re: Bondtech BMG upgrade for the N series

I want to make sure this is noted. remove the first link of the cable chain to reduce the stress on the cable for the extruder board. On a side note, I have to replace my left hotend, I'm pretty sure at this point the thing actually melted down but it is all wrapped up in insulation still. I removed...

Re: BMG Bondtech extruder: important

I am thinking this.

1 x mini breadboard.
2 x 1/8w 1m ohm resistors
2 x 2x7 0.1" Header Breadboard Adapter - https://www.winford.com/products/pbc2x7.php
wires to wire it up (since it has to be flipped
a short 2x7 ribbon cable to attach this to the motion controller board.

Re: Placement of custom G Code

primarily ideamaker has been used by the N-series community, But that is now opening up. These seem to be feature requests that should be made to not strip comments. Also to show the code the slicer added to the gcode as a header. the start script has generally primed the filament and starts the pri...

Re: BMG Bondtech extruder: important

I've got my printer printing again but I think I will need to replace the hotend. the temp was original reading high. I redid the pid which is now very different from what it was before. print quality also seems to be degraded. would the extruder controller board possible be damaged?

Re: Filament stuck inside

this may be related to the issue I just posted on. the cable to the extruder board may have come loose causing the printer to get false readings.

BMG Bondtech extruder: important

I was just printing a long print and my system shutdown. I restarted it and then it was printing weird and overheating. Due to the change in the orientation of the extruder board, the cable for the thermocouple and fans had pulled lose. I didn't realize this until I had to abort the print due to the...

Re: Not printing - Prusa i3 MK2S

I've used ideamaker to slice files with my monoprice maker select v2, which is a clone.

You can load the gcode file back in with the open print file option under the file menu. It will show you the preview.

Print Quality: Zits and Blobs

I used Ideamaker to slice a model for my modified Trinus put it printed off with a lot of zits and blobs.

There does not seem to be any retraction on the outter shell.

I will post pictures in replys

Re: Alternate support material suggestion

the real questions is if Polycast can be made available to the general public and if it would be affordable. It is the same stuff as polysmooth but is designed for sale to industry making molded parts.

I have been suggesting the idea myself but I haven't tried it yet. I haven't even opened the polysmooth I got from the kickstarter yet.

Variable Temperature profile

This request is to be able to build different hotend temperatures at set layer levels into a table like the fan speed table (if not just using the same table as the fan speed table). There is room on the Cooling tab to add another Dialog for Temperature Control. You could insert parameters for Bed, ...

Bridging

I've been working on calibrating bridging on for esun PETG. In order to get bridging to work, I have to print at 10mm/s unsupport. I may be able to go faster with support. This effects both the bottom layer solid infill and the top layer solid infill. Having all layers for this print at 10mm/s when ...
