Re: Shorted heating cartridge & maybe board

It was later discovered that it was possible for a thermal runaway to happen on the printer if the ribbon cable becomes disconnected or damaged. raise3d created a new part to detect this issue.

I don't know if he solved his issue.

If their buildtak pricing is any indication ...

I haven't paid attention to buildtak pricing. I just print straight on glass with no buildtak on it. (either side)

Re: E3D V6 on Pro2

just keep in mind, that you will lose build height from using this. I've had good results using the E3D V6 on my N2 with the adapter that was made for it. I don't know how much difference there is in the hotend interface between the N series and the Pro series though. The adapter is shorter then the...

Re: Pro 2 Plus extruder jams.

on my original bondtech upgrade. I had unknowingly set the vref wrong. It was twice what it was supposed to be due to how the vref on the steppers I was using works. This combined with a hot summer day, caused this issue to happen to me, where low temp plastic metled inside the bondtech casing. I pr...

Re: Pro 2 Plus extruder jams.

this is caused by 1 factor. the filament is getting too soft in the bondtech extruder and melting. 2 things can cause this. #1 voltage is too high on the stepper drivers for the stepper motors on the extruder. extra heat is transferred into the gears pushing the filament, causing it to soften and me...

Re: PVA (Flex Filament) and Pro2 Serie ?

my opinion of PVA. filament of dreams. in order to use it, you need to print extremely slowly for everything because the PVA does not react well to fast movements. so even if you are not printing it, the other material can knock it loose from the printer causing everything to fail. I tried it once a...

Re: Extruder Jam and stuck fillament Pro2

when I had my first bondtech on my N@ and did not have my steppers calibrated correctly. i had filament melting inside the housing for the bondtech because the motors were getting too hot causing the gears to be too hot. i had to print new housings and remount all the hardware when they were damaged...

Re: Berd-air print quality issue

just to point out. unless you mod your printer like I have mine. you are pulling hot air from inside the printer to cool your print. even with my mod, I'm not sure if it fully prevents the outside edges from heating. likely you want to mount the pump outside of the enclosure to pull colder air in. I...

Re: Touchscreen Firmware 0.9.11 Release Note 2018.6.14

I was still on 9.7, I was trying to upload a file from my computer to the printer and it was timing out. so I updated to this in hopes that it A) does not break my firmware. and B) fixes the uploading issue. That said, a feature to be able to move gcode from USB plugged into the touchscreen to the o...

Re: Connect to printer remotely?

Given that the security is way out of date on the pcDuino and no way to update it. someone could probably hack their way into your printer and do something else with it.

I had run bowden tubes in these early. what I did was took the larger tubes that came with it and cut open a side so I could run the smaller tube into the larger tube.

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

I noticed that when I went to the current fan design, my print quality went way up but the issue I have is that I don't have the air blowing on the print from the reverse side. I saw the Berd-Air posted before and wasn't sure of the price. but it may be that the price has come down now and is afford...

There was an issue in older firmware where the wrong filename was being set on the pcduino for the net settings. It was reported and fixed at some point. 9.2 may have been when that was happening.

Re: Improvements by using TMC2130 driver.

actually, the issue is not flipping the wires. the board raise3d uses are wired weirdly as in the outputs are backwards. You can change this in the firmware. There is a setting to reverse it. I use it in mine. The panucatt chips are wired this way. z-htMD4p5blAXrf8dq1dlklztPXcWOI-tw.png The raise bo...

Upgrade kit

I am curious, at to what the cost of a "N2 to N2plus upgrade kit" would cost?

As you would need the follow

3 side panels
1 side panel door

door
longer bed chain
4 bed rails
2 bed screws

the camera software for the raisetouch is there. I played with it using a modded xbox live camera and the software ran, as it was not configured properly it didn't show on the printer. likely the printer is looking for a spot and it need to be directed there and the camera app needs to be added to t...
