Extruder Head Board

Hello,

I see that the extruder head circuit board has a 24v output for the heaters. Does anyone know how many amps it can output on each extruder? Thank you.

Re: Electronic kit

I would be interested in driving a larger machine with N2 electronics. I have just the machine in mind.

What was the inspiration for this lamp and how long did it take you to design it?

Re: Medusa chandelier

Mine spends all of its time making prototype parts for a new 3D printer. Because all of the parts of my printer are all machined or custom weldments, mistakes are expensive. So, I use the N2 to "rough draft" before I machine. So much cheaper. On the main gantry bridge weldment, I will be t...

Re: Nuts on z-axes loose

Why are they intentionally loose? All other motion control systems I've worked on had those screws tightened. Is the axis so misaligned that it requires that there be play intentionally? Just curious.

Re: Adjustable bed offset at the printer

Could be wrong, but I think Stratasys may already have a patent on that.

Re: Bondtech BMG upgrade for the N series

While I wait for this extruder for my N2, I am curious if anyone has ever used the Bondtech gear set in their own custom extruder? How did it turn it out? You can PM me if you would like. Thank you.

When will we be able to make changes to the LCD software? There are a few things I've been wanting to change.

Scratch this thread. The new bondtech extruder is lighter, better and will produce less deflection in the rods. Very excited!

Re: CNC Machined Gantry

69 microns is still pretty high. But I have built systems to 5 microns or less over 24 inches. If my numbers are right, 69 microns is 0.0027 inches. I wonder what 12mm solid shafts would do?

CNC Machined Gantry

Would it be possible to use a square linear rail bolted to a CNC machined aluminum gantry beam for the N2? Something like a THK RSR miniature linear guide. Optimum geometry to minimize inertial deflection and deflection due to gravity would be a machined truss. Ideal material would be stress free ca...

Stratasys 900mc and 450mc Printers

Hello, Has anyone here ever used or is currently using a Stratasys Fortus 900mc or 450mc printer? I have some questions on the mechanics of the machine. Thank you.
