Re: Retrofit N2 with Pro series features

I'd be interested in replacing the bed system and the dual extruder from the Pro 2/Pro 2+ on my N2 Plus.

Re: Bed Leveling - N2+ (My Experience & Solution)

I totally get what you're suggesting except it hasn't born out for me on this machine given the 13 adjustment screws. The straight edge has been perfect for making precise tweaks in each position when starting with all screws/nuts tightened and the two support screws loosened not touching the under ...

Tipped in what way... wouldn't that mean a problem with the Z Axis?

Bed Leveling - N2+ (My Experience & Solution)

I'll give you a bit of a the back story. I bought a brand new Raise3D N2+ back in February. Got a great first print off the device. Printed some more. Learned my bed was not 100% level from the factory. I first tried making adjustments using the hotend and the supplied feeler gauge. It was back brea...

Direct X and Y Coordinates Entry

It'd be great to have the ability to position the extruder head in either specific pre-configured X and Y positions or have the ability to enter specific X and Y coordinates in Ideamaker or via the touch screen. I'd like to be able to calibrate the bed from the same positions each time without handl...

Re: First Month with Raise3D N2 Plus

Two things to note that I didn't cover. 1.) If you have knocking and dual extruders. Check your nozzle height. Mine was off either due to the bed level issue or just not set right at the factory. The right extruder was striking my models. 2.) The offset in Ideamaker center vs. your build plate is du...

First Month with Raise3D N2 Plus

First off... These printers work great out of the box. #1 because you're excited and #2 because you don't know the printer yet. Naturally when you get a new printer you want to familiarize yourself with its operation. So I chose to print small models. I used all the default Ideamaker settings for my...

Re: Big bed-leveling issues.

I've done the 5-point mod... my stabilizers were shorter than these because at the time my printer was so unlevel it struck the parts being printed and popped them off the raft. I used them anyway. I am re-printing them today with a nearly level bed. I can see some play in the springs. I've also not...

Re: Bad adhesion of Buildtak

With the Raise PLA I've been cleaning the bed after each print with 70-90% Isopropyl Alcohol and a paper towel. I pre-heat the bed to 60 Deg C for 3-5 mins prior to initiating a print. Retain the 60 Deg C throughout the print and keep the lid off. I've noticed room temperature seems to affect things...

Re: Severe warping. What to do?

Learned to do that same thing myself.
Not sure 10 minutes is required... I've been using 60 Deg C with Raise PLA that came with my printer.
3-5 minutes before kicking off a print.

Re: What's this issue look like to you?

I am pretty happy with Buildtak and although I understand replacing it will be expensive I'll probably continue to use that for a while... like everything I am sure it has a useful lifespan... when i get to trying ABS i'll probably have a committed plate for it and print directly on the glass... hav...

Re: What's this issue look like to you?

Would certainly be easier on the nozzle tip... :) For as much as I am obsessing about dialing this unit in... I've learned each printer is different, comes with it's own unique challenges, and though I've had some struggles I am not about to give up on this relationship - lol! I have high hopes for ...

Re: What's this issue look like to you?

definitely... learned that :) even without the dial indicator (it's coming today).. I was able to get the bed fairly level using the bed mod... I've been running single with the left extruder only so far. I had only been adjusting my z gap on that extruder and I quickly realized that using a metal f...

Re: What's this issue look like to you?

Wound up buying a dial indicator to precisely level... also modded bed adjustments... I'll post pics and sku's to the hardware I used...
Only printed a spring support... the rest I bought from McMaster-Carr.

Let's see what even a relatively feeler gauge leveled bed can now do.

Re: What's this issue look like to you?

And JetGuy...

Thanks much for your insight on my post.
I've basically wondered what the need was for leveling all points on the bed.
I'll probably do as you did considering the corners and center first before considering a mod.

It'll be nice when I have this thing dialed in.

Re: What's this issue look like to you?

well i again had to start modding my level from position to position just to get my brim only cube test to work.... after trying the last quadrant this morning and again needing to make adjustments... I went back to the drawing board. This time, though, I've withdrawn the side tensioners. and tighte...

Re: What's this issue look like to you?

After nearly 10 hours playing with this thing. I think it might "might" be dialed in. After finding what looks like a good Z home. I am printing my first print in the area that previously was good. I'll move the test cube around the bed and we'll see how well I did. That was awful lol! -Jess
