Re: First few layers being compressed on Pro2+

Are you using ideamaker? What is your first layer height set to?

Re: Poor quality and printhead drag

Like what zemlin said I also think you don't need support for that overhang angle (though it may begin to wobble at a certain height, that's up to your discretion). Perhaps try triple shell so that the outershell has enough surface from the previous shell to latch onto.

Re: Proto Pasta Stainless PLA

DS, Thanks for the recommendations. I will give these settings a shot. Questions: - Nozzle diameter? - Speeds? - Extrusion width? - Filament diameter setting? Thanks, Nick I used 0.6 nozzle with matching extrusion width. Same filament diameter. I usually print slow with it . I print slow because if...

Seems we still list some singles N2 Plus on website.

Single but not plus. The smaller N2 single extruder.

Re: Proto Pasta Stainless PLA

Proto Pasta Stainless is the most dense PLA. It's nearly double the density of regular PLA! You're essentially pushing double the amount of usual PLA compared to other brands/types. It's bound to be difficult. I lowered my flowrate all the way down to 60%. I only printed at 0.2 layer height. Also 22...

Re: lateral surface to vertical wall boundaries

I'm assuming you're using the default Grid for Infill Pattern Type. Try switching to Rectilinear. You can get much denser grids whilst keeping the same infill density (kind of). Tighter infill spacing will let your top fill layers to catch better.

Preview it to see what it does.

Re: life size statue of Kara from "detroit become human" game

holy moly I didn't read your post and just by looking at the pictures I thought those were renderings for reference (for an on-going progress thread). But that's actually the finished 3d print! That's crazy!

Were these printed with the stock N2+? Any Bondtech extruder upgrade?

Is the N2 sold out forever?

I have a N2+. Interested in getting another, but just a N2. The pro series seems nice, but out of our budget range.

Is it sold out forever?

when the purge is done, just use your hands to yank away the purged filament strands.

Re: Part Shifting Again Again and Again

how often does this happen? layer shift does happen once in a while.....mostly due to the nozzle striking the model. and it can occur most often in complex models with many overhangs (lack of adhesion to the previous layer creates more curl).

If you want to try your luck, use 3D Builder. It's part of Windows. It has great repair and merge tools.

Re: ideaMaker/N2 hidden Layer count info

yes I just discovered this the other day as well. This is the most accurate info for us of where exactly the 3d print is at.

There should be some kind of graphic indication that other info is there (two dots for page 1, page 2, or something).

I'm guessing that if you rotated you build plate 180 degrees that the raft would be building in a new area. That gets you 2x the life. this just blew my mind edit: though this reminds me of another issue; it'd be great if there was a feature where you can change the direction of how the supports ru...

Re: Severe underextrusion

Have you tried simply increasing the flowrate?
Does S3D know that it's using a 0.5mm not a 0.4mm nozzle?
Also try test printing a simple cube via Ideamaker and see if it does the same.

Re: The grass isn't always greener

That's too bad about the video. But that's just user ignorance. I'm sure Ultimaker make good printers. The Ultimaker prints people post online attest to that. And that goes for any other printer. In the end it all comes down to the user's familiarity with 3d printing and electronics. We also have th...
