Re: Filament Run-out Sensor Add-on

Also, Vicky, the runout sensor mount was 100% designed to mount to the top of the extruder. You are right that the original design of the part is designed to mount onto the top of the extruder. But after several tests, we found that the trigger didn't work properly every time and digged out that th...

Re: Unloading PLA from BondTech extruder

I out-feed while swapping filament all the time... just make sure to pre-load the filament before unloading, for me that minimizes that "blob" at the end of the unloading filament strand.

After a few months without issues, the problem has re-surfaced. I have opened a support ticket: #2669 Screen goes black and printer stops mid-print

I'd open a ticket w/ Raise to ask them, might get a faster official response.

And also, I still haven't received mine yet in Los Angeles.

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

That setup won't work with the stock R3D hotends, the heater core wires stick out the back too far and you won't be able to mount the 5015 fans on the back. Just FYI.

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

Did the full surround nozzle in your other post not work out? I liked the look of that one because I'm currently having issues with overhangs on the opposite side of where my fan is. Sticking an extra 40mm fan on the bed with glue stick behind my parts is solving the issue, but obviously a temporar...

Re: Bondtech BMG upgrade for the N series

I found the perfect tension for me is to screw it all the way in and release by 2.5 turns. I marked a line on the knobs so I can visually confirm 2.5 turns easily. This setting was recommended to me by bondtech tech support.

Re: How can I add a new fan?

Check the polarity of the fan's wiring. Some fans come with reverse polarity (which will cause the fan not to turn on).

That too... we've been promised the camera was in development for OUR printer for the longest time. It's kind of a swift kick in the nads to include it in the "next generation" printer while leaving us high & dry.

Retrofit N2 with Pro series features

Raise3D team, I noticed that the new Pro series printers are up for pre-order on your website. I couldn't help but notice the similarities with the N2 and the new Pro series printers. The only 2 real features I care about are the filament runout sensor and the electronic lifting system for dual nozz...

Alright alright! Twist my arm, will you guys? 8-)

Are the digipot version compatible with our Raise3D N2's? Can we set the vref's via software, or do I need to buy the manual version?

Re: Improvements by using TMC2130 driver.

So if there's no appreciable difference in print speed/quality with this modification, why even bother? I mean I know it helps avoid the chance of skipped steps in certain (rare) conditions, but as ABH said.. there's no visual quality difference between the stock and upgraded drivers.

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

Due to popular request, here are the STL files for my cooling design. I do not have a thingiverse account, otherwise I'd post it up there. Beware that after running this for a couple months, a few issues have surfaced: 1) The heatblocks melt the tip of the blower air diverters, it doesn't touch but ...

Re: Octoprint and hacking the touch screen?

You're going to lose some of the features, such as the power-outage print recovery. I forget what else, but make sure you realize fully what you're losing before you do it. I was set on doing the same until I realized some of the more advanced features of the printer will no longer function. Maybe i...

Re: Quieting the N2

And here's a picture of a 120v 80mm fan grafted on to the outside of the power supply. It is always on, so it makes a small amount of noise all on its own, but the internal fan on the power supply doesn't run much if at all, so the net is less racket. I can even hear the steppers and extruder now. ...
