Re: Shiny New Build Plates

i believe that is just a replacement BuildTak sheet and not the actual metal removable plate. I have been waiting for the build plate to come out. i want one or two without the BuildTak so i can install a silicon thermal pad and glass plate.

i was starting at the most obvious. i have had multiple drivers fail building machines. they are cheap and crappy. since you have NO social skills and obviously no mechanical skills... sell it!

Re: Printing with PolyCarbonate

Polmaker Black PC MAX, i tried buildtak and it failed miserably the PC stuck to the buildtak but the buildtak adhesive pulled up from the glass. I printed a 12" x 12" x 3" telescope camera adapter on bare glass with purple glue stick and it worked great, i had the first print fail on ...

Re: Pro 2 Plus extruder jams.

also screw in tension screw on the side of the extruder until tight and then back off 3 full turns and test on a 20mm cube print.

Re: Pro 2 Plus extruder jams.

naser, your problem looks to be more of a back pressure issue. here is good trouble shooting guide https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/ is the bed set at the right height? what extrusion rate? did you set the bed height with the nozzle and bed both preheated? to remove t...

Re: Not 1 successful print N2+

1st, never have a door open when printing ABS. ABS needs to cool slowly. did you have the fan covers on? i think you should start with PLA and work your way up to ABS. PLA needs all doors open and the top cover propped up. Are you using BuildTak or something else on the bed? i have a bunch of Raise ...

Re: new heat block

the throat tube must be tightened down to the nozzle. remove the hot end and clean up. put the throat tube in and test the depth of the throat tube but screwing the nozzle in by hand. if the nozzle bottoms out on the heat block the throat tube needs to be screwed in more. NEVER tighten the throat tu...

Re: PVA (Flex Filament) and Pro2 Serie ?

flexible filament and PVA filament are two different things. PVA or Polyvinyl Alcohol is a water dissolvable support material and flex is a rubbery thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). Which one are you having trouble with? I have printed a good 12-13 rolls of MakerFlex with little problems. i have PVA bu...

i believe that the Bondtech extruder will still work on the N1. I will leave this to a N1 owner that has the upgrade, but i think Jetguy and a couple of others are using the Bondtech on their N1's

Re: Your favorite ABS

if your PETG is brittle after printing you need to dry it. PETG is Hygroscopic (absorbs water out of the air).

Re: Consistent layer separation at certain heights

What filament are you using? and at what temp? i have had the same issue but it turned out being the temp was too low or moisture. I have had it happen with PETG (moisture, after drying filament for 6 hours it was fine) PLA, printing at 190-195 c when bumped up to 200-210 c problem disappeared.

Re: New N2PLus.... shall I go BondTech straight away?

It's not a "must do", but it's one that I have done on all my printers (Raise3d or not). The mechanics behind the extruder system just plain beat any single hobbed or single drive gear/idler wheel (bearing) set-up. I have not had any hiccups going from maker flex/ NinjaTek to Gmass's tungs...

Re: Bondtech BMG upgrade for the N series

I have printed a lot of flexible filaments like NinjaTek and Maker Flex along with hard filament like the virtual foundry's Copper filled and Gmass tungsten filled. To be fair, I only had the stock extruder on the 2 Raise3d machines up until the Bond Tech came out and only used PLA and ABS. I now us...

Re: 3rd party PLA clicking/heat creep?

when you went to the bondtech extruder did you turn down the stepper driver voltage? just want to make sure its not the motor getting too hot. 3rd party PLA has a lower "Glass transition" temp so the PLA will soften at a lower temperature making it harder to feed.

Re: ABS warping

1 of the main things with ABS is to install the caps on the bottom of the fans to block the layer portion of the cooling. heat build plate up with the printer enclosed for about 10 min before printing. i normally then put a block under the lid to prop it open about 2 inches. I use 200 mm wide Kapton...

Re: Proto Pasta Stainless Steel

DeftCad, i just wanted to let you know that i chewed up the hardened nozzles like candy with the Gmass Tungsten filament. i would go through a nozzle per roll. Microscope pictures showed my nozzle at .8 to .9mm after a 1Kg roll. i am trying a ruby nozzle right now.
