Re: Problems with PLA

I tried with 60°C and the print went well. Just for my understanding ... as answered by Vicky and 3Dnoob, in the Internet someone say to increase the temperature to 60°C and someone says to turn it off . For a newbie like me is a little bit confusing ... it depends only on the presence or absence o...

Re: Touch screen freezing

Hi, Jason. I got the same situation as you mentioned. I was told to have my screen box replaced, too. But the new circuit board was not really the same as the original one. And the technician told me to connect the 24v wire to the PSU(the green one). But then when I plugged in electricity, it blew ...

Re: Surface quality on tall prints

Hi Michael, I have attached a 300mm tall piece of baseboard that was printed vertically where the problem slowly presents itself the farther up it goes. All doors were open including the side and top lid removed. No difference for me either way. Something that tall and thin is going to sway a littl...

Re: glass bed can't be leveled because it's not flat :/

After spending the good part of a day trying to level the bed (high spot in the middle), I realized that it wasn't possible when looking at the bed from the side, I noticed that the glass was not in contact with the platform in the middle. Logically, if the glass is clamped on the sides and the mid...

Re: access files on local drive

I have a N2 plus dual and I have a file saved on the local drive that I would like to download and edit on my laptop. How do I gain access to that code once it is uploaded? I've tried copying or moving the file but that only allows you to do so in the same directory. I'm not at my printer at the mo...

Re: issue uploading gcode (ideaMaker 3.0)

I just tried with WinSCP, a 50mb gcode file took 10 minutes to upload so the issue also appears outside of ideaMaker.

Re: Simplify3D vs IdeaMaker3 - your opinion?

I have had S3D for over 4 years now and have used it on the Raise3D. IdeaMaker is actually a pretty good slicer. I find unless I am doing something pretty complicated that requires a specific feature of S3D I default to Ideamaker because it is both designed for the printer and the convenience of upl...

Re: issue uploading gcode (ideaMaker 3.0)

Have you ever tested with the following steps? I have turned the wifi off on the printer. As for the other steps I think its a bit much to need to hard code all the IP address on my home network (my router defaults to a 192.168.10.* address) to see if that fixes the issue. I'll put up with it worki...

No, same behavior with the old and the new touch panel. With the old touch panel I had the cord plugged into the back of the machine, with the new panel it is plugged directly to the panel.

Re: issue uploading gcode (ideaMaker 3.0)

If you have to use LAN, please try connect to the LAN slot on touchscreen directly and see if that works better. It may be the problem of the extension cable to the back. Just to add a data point. I too have had slow transfers via Ethernet. I recently had to replace the touch panel so while everyth...

Re: Bond Tech Extruders . Any good, whats the improvement?

The installation is pretty simple, probably can be done in an hour even if being really careful (there is a video showing step by step installation). I first upgraded to the bondtech that reused the original motor and it worked flawlessly for a year and about 2000 print hours. I just installed the B...

Re: Touch screen freezing

There is likely a ton of length on that wire bundled in the base of the machine VS soldering. Normally I would do this except I have the N2+ and I figured I would much more likely damage the printer trying to tip that beast over to access the bottom than any issues from extending the wires. If at a...

Re: Touch screen freezing

I got a call from tech support on Monday explaining what I needed to do (which matched up with what you said). Went to connect the wires yesterday and because the wire terminal is higher than were the plug was on the V1 board the wires were not long enough. I was a bit frustrated so I walked away fr...

Re: Touch screen freezing

Jetguy- Thanks for the detailed explanation. Definitely glad I didn't do any guessing. I think I know what I need to do but since I am already out $450 for the first replacement I am going to wait for an official response to my support ticket so that any possible mistake with this new board isn't mi...

Re: Touch screen freezing

So it turns out I had to get a complete replacement for the touchscreen/computer. I have an installation question that I haven't gotten a response to on my support ticket yet and I'm hoping I can get a quick answer here as I can't finish without knowing. From what I unplugged from my V1 board notice...

Touch screen freezing

A few months ago I started noticing that if I left my printer on for a couple days the touch screen would be unresponsive, ie needed to do a hard reboot. If I am running a long print after about a day or so the touch screen will freeze, the print head will stop, the heat bed and hot end will maintai...

Re: Looking at a Raise3D N2 (non-plus)

I read through the mod section of these forums. Here's what scares me. -Still seeing folks with leveling issues despite the company pre calibrating the builds (shipping issues? does the level hold over many prints? Indefinite?) -Extruder issues? What the heck? You pay 3.8k for a printer but you mod...

Model printed on N2+ in Simply 3D print contest

My spiral yo-yo that I printed on my Raise 3D N2+ has been selected as a finalist in the Simplify 3D 4.0 print contest. IMG_2291.JPG s3dfacebooksmall.png I also did a short video about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPASUKW2H9s It took me working on it on and off for a year and a half before I ...

If it were me I would see if 20mm/s is better.
