Re: Looking at a Raise3D N2 (non-plus)

I read through the mod section of these forums. Here's what scares me. -Still seeing folks with leveling issues despite the company pre calibrating the builds (shipping issues? does the level hold over many prints? Indefinite?) -Extruder issues? What the heck? You pay 3.8k for a printer but you mod...

Model printed on N2+ in Simply 3D print contest

My spiral yo-yo that I printed on my Raise 3D N2+ has been selected as a finalist in the Simplify 3D 4.0 print contest. IMG_2291.JPG s3dfacebooksmall.png I also did a short video about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPASUKW2H9s It took me working on it on and off for a year and a half before I ...

If it were me I would see if 20mm/s is better.

Re: gcode file transfer

If your printer is on a network you can use a program like WinSCP to remote into it to transfer files in both directions.

Re: Travel moves through open parts

This model can't be printed in spiral mode because the tops of the sides aren't connected. I haven't printed with Ninjaflex myself so maybe someone with experience with that material can give some advice.

Re: BMG Bondtech extruder: important

Immediately everyone should check and ensure they have some sort of locking mechanism on this critical ribbon cable. Ziptie,, glue, printed part, or something. Don't print without it. It might help some people if you had a photo to show the exact part you are talking about even though your verbal d...

Re: Print settings using a 0.8mm nozzle

It's interesting, 3 or 4 posts online mention going to FASTER print speeds with a bigger nozzle, yet you and I find the opposite. http://3dprinting-blog.com/tag/0-8-mm-nozzle/ I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I did have great success with these stackable boxes. Im very happy with them! A 50mm Marvin,...

Don't remember exactly but it was over 100 individual print jobs. Over 1400 print hours.

Bay Area Maker Faire Editors Choice

I brought my full size 3d printed grandfather clock to BAMF17.

Re: Bed Leveling - N2+ (My Experience & Solution)

Tipped in what way... wouldn't that mean a problem with the Z Axis? Image the back 3 screws all being +1mm, the middle 3 screws 0mm, and the front 3 screws -1mm. You straight edge would say the plate is flat (which it would be) but your plate wouldn't be trammed in respect to your hot end (your pri...

Re: Urgent fix needed

It is not just for lots of changes. It is for just trying to print. Let's say that, like right now, I am loading filament prior to a print job. Right after I load the filament I want to print. I cannot. I have to once again set the heat. That is just wrong. Is there some safety issue that has come ...

Re: Velocity Painting leads to board error 61639

Give it a try, as it is free and might be easier to use. I will definitely check it out, there were some choices in your interface that aren't in the VP interface that could be useful. Plus I think changing the extrusion rate may be more effective for opaque filaments than changing the print speed....

Looks interesting, does this work the same as VP or is there something different to what you are doing?

Re: Velocity Painting leads to board error 61639

OK, I'm going to blame the 2 day migraine class headache I am just getting over for this rookie mistake. I was still running 0.7.0 version of Raise Touch. Now I had a good reason for not upgrading, I didn't dare make any changes after I got my clock workflow down and that was a 6 month project, but ...

Velocity Painting leads to board error 61639

Lately I have been having quite some fun playing with a new technique called Velocity Painting (http://www.velocitypainting.xyz/gui/index.html). Unfortunately I have had zero luck with this on my N2+. As soon as the print reaches an area that is painted I get a "Board error: Resend: 61639 Pleas...

Walshlg: Ceramic tape? You mean the white teflon tape used for pipe threads? I have that so I would be able to try it out. He is definitely not talking about that. This won't fit the raise3d heat block but it is an example of what he is talking about https://www.fargo3dprinting.com/products/makerbo...

Re: Raft Adhesion Issues

Thanks for the responses. The distance between the nozzles and the build plate was set with the 0.2mm feeler gauge supplied with the printer. Bed temperature is set at 60C. I'm hoping it's not the Buildtak that's the issue as I've only printed a handful of small models so far. I've done a couple of...

Re: Raft Settings

So on my second week of my N2 and I am actually having a real issue. What was working great before, is now starting to have some issues. Using PLA at 215 degrees prints fine at the normal 50 mm/s print speed but part of the default settings for the raft prints at 60 mm/s . When the raft prints at 6...

Just curious with the Orange County location whether Raise3D was going to have a presence at the Bay Area Maker Faire this year.
