Re: Poll - Do you use Ethernet, Wifi or Flash Drive to transfer your files to your Raise3D printer?

I’m using the latest versions of touch and ideamaker on my N1. 1. The printer has Ethernet enabled. WiFi off. (But the Mac is connect via WiFi. So it’s not a direct Ethernet to Ethernet transfer). Is your router a 1Gbs router? Or an older 100Mbs router? I have the latest airport extremes and a netg...

Re: First Layer Printing Issue

My guess is that your nozzle is to close to the bed. And maybe a temp/speed issue as well.

You are sure you have the correct nozzle size and filament diameter setup?

Re: Touchscreen Firmware 0.9.9 Release Note 2018.5.17

One more update works only in reverse. Connection to the printer is impossible http://store.picbg.net/pubpic/DE/E6/ccbd7e9df229dee6.jpg This might not be firmware specific. I noticed this with the last version of ideamaker. Had to turn on and of the network settings on the printer.

Re: PLA – Raft Sticking to Print

I love printing with a raft. Never a problem with bed adhesion. Easy to remove from bed without damaging the actual print.

Re: PLA – Raft Sticking to Print

If your nozzle is to close to the bed. Then your print will also be to close to the raft. The first layer of the raft is quite thick to go down easy and you might not notice that you are set to low.

Notes taken.

Please also add quicklook support for Mac OS X. (Preview of the idea files in the Mac OS finder.)
Look at how it shows stl-files.

Re: Pro 2 App?

What we need here is for you as a company to be more transparent. Look at how Prusa handle cunstomer support and give updates in progress and development. Set a deadline. Tell us about the deadline. Keep the deadline. That’s how easy it is. But don’t keep us in the dark.

Re: ABS warping

I never got anywhere with ABS until I started using "ABS Juice" on the glass bed. I use SimpleGreen to clean off the surface of the glass and wipe it till it squeaks. Then generously slather acetone/ABS slurry over the bed, pre-heat it for about 10-15 minutes and get printing. When the pr...

Good work! :)

The Software Update command in the Help menu in IdeaMaker doesn't report a new version available though.

Re: ABS warping

I had an idea yesterday of anti warping infill. It should be possible to make the infill have a shape that prevents and counteracts warping. More infill in certain places. Different structures. Or internal bracing. (You know were you read it first. ;). I, for one, would be very interested to see in...

Re: IdeaMaker UI question. When print is finished.

Aha. That might be obvious for some. :) But I didn't understand that. Maybe through a message about that when one click the button. Like "I can't do that Dave… please remove the print from the print bed and press done on the printer screen first Dave".

IdeaMaker UI question. When print is finished.

When a print is finished the screen on the printer is showing the buttons "reprint last job", "add another job" and "done". The IdeaMaker UI when connected to the printer is showing almost the same screen. But is missing the button "done". Skärmavbild 2018-04-...

I have noticed tjat my printer will not connect to my WiFi since I have the é character in the name. So you might want to check that your WiFi name and password only use the most basic/common characters.

Re: having issues with curved thin angled walls

To fast and to cold and to little contact with the previous layer due ro the steep angle. And I hade also made that wall thicker. I don't think it is too cold, it is 250 degrees which is the upper recommended print temperature for the plastic, I can try slowing it down. But do you have any ideas as...

I would also see that Raise3D would use this kind of thinking that Vicky talks about for there old printers as well. To improve current printers with downloadable parts. Much like the Prusa community.

Does flow rate affect temp/cooling?

I did a print yesterday. And the nozzle started hitting the supports. So I lowered the flowrate on the printer from 94 to 92%. And that caused the finish of the printed PLA to change from glossy to matte. (I get the same glossy/matte finish difference on PLA if I print with different temps). Does lo...
