Does flow rate affect temp/cooling?

I did a print yesterday. And the nozzle started hitting the supports. So I lowered the flowrate on the printer from 94 to 92%. And that caused the finish of the printed PLA to change from glossy to matte. (I get the same glossy/matte finish difference on PLA if I print with different temps). Does lo...

Re: Thermal-Protector - available soon to all

Okay, thanks. I have never crimped the end onto a ribbon cable. What do I need for this cable in particular? -- tool and cable end. I'd like to be prepared. I have used a small vise. I have used this: https://www.conrad.se/Presst%E5ng-BKL-Electronic-10120167-Anslutningsdon.htm?websale8=conrad-swe&a...

Re: Raise3D Fan Duct Pro2 Plus

On the “old” printers the left and right fans are always on. And the extra fan connection can be controlled via gcode.

But the new printers I don’t know.

Re: Raise3D Fan Duct Pro2 Plus

With this new design how do you go about printing abs? No lid for the fan duct?

Also insulate your hotends with thermal sheets and kapton tape.

Re: Nozzle rammed into print model

Relevel and make sure your nozzle isn’t to close to the bed. Make sure you are not overextruding plastic. And some “hard” prints also require you to enable z-hop. And if you only print with the left nozzle you can place the right nozzle away up from the bed to make sure it doesn’t hit.

For the love printing, can we add an auto shut-off option to the end of printing?

Would be nice to know if it even would be possible. Since the off button is a physical switch that needs to be flicked.

I had a printed instruction in the envelope. The padded envelope for the protector also had a qr code with a link to the instructions:

Re: Custom supports -> Automation

I think that the “per layer” settings have to be tied graphically to the model in the UI. Like dragging a plane to the height there I need to change a setting. Specify that setting. Drag a new plane to the next position and change those settings. And so on.

Re: LIN_ADVANCE = better extrusion control

The thermal runaway protection seems to be not the only one problem: In a last act of despair, I completely disabled the thermal runaway protection (which was not that easy, thanks Marlin). But again, nothing happens after heating up everything - the print just doesn't start. Maybe touch screen com...

“Optimal” layer height?

I see a lot of talk online for optimal layer height based on the stepper drivers step size and the pitch of the lead screw? Is this something one should “worry” about? And what is the optimal layer heights for the N1 if so? I guess that people want the stepper to use full steps. So that all layers g...

If your country has really good consumer rights like Sweden I would buy from a reseller. :).

Yes. One useful tool that maybe should be placed visible in the UI toolbar.

I really need this as well. Don’t want to sleep with the printer on. But sometimes I fall asleep before it’s finished. And then my son is mad about the fan noise when he wakes up in the middle of the night and can’t fall backs to sleep.

Re: Models not always placed flat on platform?

Use the command "lay flat" in the "model" menu instead. Select the face you want to the bed. Click Apply.

Re: Thermal-Protector - available soon to all

So, I received the thermal protector and went to install it. But the connector will not fit! The motherboard connector has a pin in the plug on one side, I suppose to avoid being able to connect it wrong (there's no connector socket just pins on the MB). So now I'm supposed to try to get that littl...

Re: Don't start layer at overhang

This is something I have noticed in the gcode preview as well. The layer start point is sometimes in the air. When it could (and should) have started at another point on the layer there it has the previous layer to rest on. This would give better overhangs in some cases.

Doesn't anyone search Thingiverse or google? A very similar fan bracket mod can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2792586, or for just under $10.00, I found a nice design (closer to the Pro2) at https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/raise3d-n2-plus-upgrade-cooling-fan-mount-for-controlle...
