Re: Bridging is askew and ends in mid air.

It's a file I have created my self. I have double checked and the walls are 2,4 mm thick. And the settings are for a 0,4 mm nozzle and 0,4 extrusion width.

Bridging is askew and ends in mid air.

HI. Look att the attached file. I have noticed this behaviour for a while. On the first bridging layer. The bridging is not aligned with the shell. It is a few degrees off. And on some places that causes a gap in the bridging. And it also causes the bridging to start and stop mid air in some places....

Re: What to do about edge curl?

Besides hotend insulation, model cooling can help with this. The picture doesn't show the whole hotend, but it looks like you're using the stock axial fans (dual extruder?) with the covers removed. I've found that this is not sufficient cooling for best results with PLA. A blower fan with a duct th...

Re: What to do about edge curl?

This is how the print looks. (I also would like to say that I have tried using zhop. But that actually made it worse. Because when zhop is activated at the end of each small piece. It creates a small upwards protution of filament. And it hits that next time it passes). 042FB909-CF78-4926-BDC7-B3D967...

What to do about edge curl?

I would say that my N1 prints fine for the most parts. But I’m trying to print Devon Montes chain mail. Hundreds of small parts. The first layers start fine. But after a while the small parts start to get edge curl. And the nozzle hits the small parts and they breake away. PLA is what I’m using. Tri...

Re: Reclaim lost build area

In the box that followed with the printer you have smaller silver clips. They might not give you all the space back. But they are smaller than the binder clips.

If I’m not wrong I think that’s the setting in ideamaker as well.

Re: Trouble with overhang printing

I insulated my hotends with thermal insulation sheets and kapton tape. Before I wasn’t able to print Makers Muse’s Lattice Cube 3D Torture Test without warping and bad overhangs. Afterwards it printed fine. It prevented the nozzle from heating and warping the thin printed parts. But I have to say th...

Re: Raise 3D N2 Plus "Failed to join to WLAN"

It’s a pain though. I really don’t want to rename my Wi-Fi. It is a lot of work to update the family’s wifisettings. On iPads, iPhones, Mac’s, pc, Game Consoles, alarm, doorbell, receiver, Blu-ray, tv, lights, scale, fan, Apple TVs, printers, picture frame. (And possibly something’s I have forgotten...

Re: Raise 3D N2 Plus "Failed to join to WLAN"

If you have any “exotic” characters in your Wi-Fi network name or password it might not work. My network is named Norén and doesn’t work. Rename to Noren worked.

Re: PETG problem printing on dense support layer

I have reprinted the part with only a few percent support. The underside of the small handle is now worse. But the underside of the cap looks amazing. Completely flat and it was not attached to the support at all. You can see a faint impression there the support was placed. So I guess that it bridge...

Re: PETG problem printing on dense support layer

May I ask .gcode, .data and .bin files of this print? Want to check the dense support layers. BTW, what about the result of the surface of the structure like a handle at left side after dense support layers? Of course. The underside of the handle is quite ok. PETG problem printing on dense support layer

I’m printing PETG and thought I had my settings dialed in. But when the print started to print above my dense support layer it’s a real mess. Any ideas or tips? I will try again tomorrow without dense support layer and a smaller amount of infill. Like the opposite to what I do now. But if anyone kno...

I thought about that but the cold-end fans are already on the sides.

Ah. Sorry. Forgot about those. ;).
Might be room to place the extra fans in front of the ordinary fans. Maybe angled towards the nozzles.

Re: ideaMaker 3.0-RC Release Note Updated Rev. 3.0.5 2017.12.18

Why is the machine going five cm to the righ in the air in the beginning? Is it supposed to do this against the bed to purge the nozzle? That has been my though all along. That it shouldn’t do that in the air. If so. The new behaviour would be more correct. If not dropping the bed down during purge...

Re: PID auto tune right nozzle failed.

So is it unnecessary to do PID autotune on both nozzles? Should one only do it to the left? I’m not right clear about what you meen with this info.
