Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

i'm sure you can print nearly everything with this setup, maybe you need a little bit time here are some materials that work without any issue Benchies2.png i'm printing a new fleet with filaflex, semiflex, ngen flex... PLA Raise, Colorfabb, Neofil, Ngen, woodfill bamboofill and bronzefill, formfutu...

Re: Filament diameter causing extruder slipping?

Or yes if as you said it's so small at certain point of the filament that the gear doesn't press the filament enough... there are mods to add a spring to the original conf or you have to losse the screws that hold the motor to move the gear a little bit closer... but it's not a solution... or change...

Re: Filament diameter causing extruder slipping?

I don't think the only filament diameter variation could explain this... it's like it stopped to extrude... friction, motor, temperature and filament quality (i never see too much variation as you said) and is your filament old ? did it pops when it extrudes (= humidity) ? the bondtech, for example,...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

i think you will be forced to add it on the bowden that have more retractions it's good for motors servie life limits and good for elastic filament but the best would be to find a smaller motor to fit the cooling without loosing any place (i saw jetguy had posted a picture of bondtech dual direct dr...

Re: Spool Holder for N2

Thanks for printing the part lami3d. So in summary at the moment: The stock Raise3D offset Spool holder MAY be causing some friction like forces (Actually more a lifting force when the filament motion causes the spool to rock instead of rotating and it trys to lift a percentage of the 1Kg (10 N) sp...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

I guess I went through almost everything but don't get it. Do I need another firmware to print dual or not? Is this firmware form Raise3D or is that some sort of hack? (meanwhile the directdrive got stuck after 2h of printing... motor is burning hot damn... not sure if I'm already regreting this up...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

Hi (sorry) I have not yet tested dual extrusion yet with bondtech (and maybe i'll never test it with raise) so i can't help you. i had to test it with the original conf and i found that PVA left traces (one the part) that become holes after removing the PVA with water it seemed like a gadget (but it...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

Have you got both original raise3d motors on direct and bowden extruders ?

about 1mm play in X direction (printer ref)

But yes, i think you can take the measure on the other design.. .as we say in france : "on va pas réinventer la roue", (we're not going to reinvent the wheel!)

Re: Spool Holder for N2

I'm going to try to print this to tell you if it's good but you can compare with the base of the spool holder with bearing that fits very well.

Impossible to change "Layer start point type"

Hello, today i noticed something strange that i don't manage to solve in ideamaker 2.5.1.785. I usualy print with fixed layer start points but, depending on the filament, i prefer nearest... So, it was "nearest" and i wanted to change to "fixed" and i found it's impossible or i m...

Re: A little disappointed with the N2

Today, what we can do as a preventive action is to manually check if the limit switches click when we press them and check that the homings stop when we press the limit switch

But it will increase the number of "cycle" of the limit switch and use it prematurely

Re: A little disappointed with the N2

Although we found some problem cases of endstop switch, but it does not have a very high fault rate based on our data. Maybe but the Severity will be "I. Catastrophic" You can have one limit swith but it would be monitored (auto-test...) Actualy, a "test" is performed when a pri...

Re: A little disappointed with the N2

It has a logic as following, the movement will stop when the printer finds that it has already finished the longest it can move. Which means, if it is a N2's Z direction, the max movement is 305mm. If the printer finds that it has already moved 305mm in Z, it will stop moving immediately. But this ...
