Re: Project Dual Titan Extruder

Just also, do you change the voltage of the motors (like for the bondtech mod) ? Because, in the Raise3d design, i thought the metal mounting plate was also here to dissipate motors heat. Maybe a test to print ABS or PC with printer closed during 2 hours to see if there is no issue with the motors t...

Re: Clogging during a print

Hello, What is the filament causing the issue ? is the inner diameter of the guiding tube 2mm or 3mm (raise recently change to 3 mm) ? One time, i had similar problem with a filament that was a little more than 1.75 and maybe a little bit rough surface : lot of friction along the tube (2mm) and clog...

Re: New heat shield design

I don't understand why there are more and more fans to blow, bigger fan... because, i have these mods : 15mm fans +socke right fan duct and a good hot end insulation. I set cooling to 50% max with PLA (100% for the bridge on S3D) and sometimes it's too much cooling (you see the upper surface is too ...

Re: Olsson Ruby, will it fit?

Thingiverse things just a little sand papering on the rim to see how it behaves, other are like they were in the printer... XT-cf20 (0.2mm for the rims and 0.15mm for the hinges) Rim.jpg Hinges.jpg ProtoPasta (0.15) - had to reduce extrusion a little bit and activate 'no travel through hole' in the ...

Re: Olsson Ruby, will it fit?

I correct what i said : perform replacement with heating on only and tighten well (--> don't stop tightening when you hear the first "click" of the tool but stop it after many "clicks". I notice a little leakage due to that but now, it's ok.) Benchies (2shells, 10% infill, 4 bott...

Re: Brittle filament tips ?

Tx jetguy so, i'm going to try to dry them ! These filament were new and well packaged with desicant (it doesn't mean that they are good so...) I thought i could have had this issue with bamboofill and woodfill but not with metal/PLA filament... My (short) prints are perfect and i thought that these...

Brittle filament tips ?

Hello, i've noticed that some filaments are very brittle (laywood, laybrick, colorfabb stellfill*) : they break when little constraints are applied on them when it unwounds... so, it's impossible to run long prints [*just for the steelfill, if anyone has already test it, can you confirm it is brittl...

Re: Cura 2.4 Profiles for Raise3D

I wanted to post something to search a good start code in S3D (because i have the original one + just M92 E140 for the bondtech) but more for the fact that it moves the bed up before starting the print than the heating sequence. By moving the bed up before starting the print, the nozzle moves to the...

Re: Initial setup...

if you run only right extruder you may remove the left extruder or move it above the right nozzle to avoid the left noozle to hit (it's the opposite when you print with left extrduer only, remove the right one or move it up). you have to understand well how this printer is designed to modify it in a...

Re: Olsson Ruby, will it fit?

Yo, regarding installation, it's really easy if you follow the instructions given on their website. You have to print the tool to tighten well the nozzle. You have to do that with heating on, or be sure the thread and everything is really clean. I have printed rims of RCF1 project and other parts wi...

Re: Adjust Belt Alignment

Hold the belts that follow the X axis in place with the tool and loose the 4 screws under the 4 sliding blocks (and loose the screw that lock the rods in the slidings block on each sliding block). You can loose all the setscrews of the pulleys also, it depends if they are good ore not... if everythi...
