Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

The original R3D-Extruder Gear is not really the most flexible one, to state this in a kind way.
Consider a bondtech upgrade ...

Re: Why I have to leave the Raise3D-Community

Yes, I certainly would love to keep this machine - if it would be in a „works as designed“ condition. I still would give the N2 and Raise3D another chance to convince me;-) The Raise3D-support agreed that this particular N2 does have too many issues to be able to bring it into that condition. Even t...

Why I have to leave the Raise3D-Community

Hello All, it's a pity but I have to leave this fine community soon. Reason is that I will not have an N2 anymore - it will be sent back to the dealer for refund. As some of you may know, the N2 I have does have multiple issues. I have been discussing those issues in the forum as well as with raise3...

Yes, I am using IM on a Mac.

I must admit I forgot which dialog it was where the buttons were mixed.
If I see them again, I'll drop you a note.

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

"Thanks! I was thinking about ordering some BVOH. It seems to dissolve very well."

Most of the times, yes.
Sometimes it leaves a bit of remains on the prints that is hard to remove.
Warm water + an electrice tooth-brush (with an old brush, naturally;-) helps.

Re: Pause at Height Simple Question

... For changing the per-height setting to be per-layer settings, we think per-height will be more useful. Since normally you know how high the feature you want to pause on the machine is when carrying out modeling but not which layer for 3D printing it is. I partially agree. Finetuning your print ...

You may have a look here:

I just posted some tips and a R3D-N2-Profile for BVOH and ABS that works for me.
I know BVOH is not cheap - but it does the trick (at least for me) and dissolves quite quick in water.

Re: some bondtech upgrade questions

Q2. I could not get the VREF to 0.5V, it was either .46V or .56V. I figured that running at just under was better than just over. Is this correct? A: Right, under is better than over. But: It is a bit tricky and may takes several attempts - but it is possible to get to the 0.5 Volts. Q3. how tight s...

Re: Has Anyone successfully printed PVA with an N2?

I did have nothing but trouble with PVA as well. But I just tried one brand and I know some people had success with PVA on the N2. I switched to Verbatims's BVOH as soluble support material and did have much much better results! It prints quite nicely with PLA and I even got it to work with ABS. In ...

Re: no networking all of a sudden

If you have both your PC and your printer setup with a static ip-adress & connect both of them to the same network segment (e.g. the same switch), you should be able to ping the printer. If not, it might be a good idea to connect a third device (e.g. NAS, Raspberry Pi or whatever) to the same se...

Re: PID auto tune right nozzle failed.

First thanks for finally clarifying this, Vicky. Second: This is another example of why poor documentation has a great - and negative - impact on the product quality! Not only was it absolutely unnecessary to run PID-Autotune for both Hotends (waiste of time, energy) but it also seems to be counterp...

just to note, the printer does not support independent PID for right and left nozzle. That is an advanced feature in newer marlin that even i haven't looked into setting up. No reason, your wellcome. Mine does have this spring as well but honestly - it's a joke. Way to weak and as you say, it can tilt and wander around. And because I seem to have as big fingers as you I did not like the small M3-nut;-) But be aware that even with that counter-nut the Z-Gap changes over ...

Thanks for that insight, Casale8. I thought so. I'd be okay with estimates "on the high side". But it does not really add trust if the same program gives you two different estimates - at least to my taste. And - frankly spoken - it does leave some sort of feeling... about elaborateness of ...

And here's a minor bug I just found. Again, in ideaMaker Ver. 3.0.5.1438.
