x and y axis compensation bug

It looks like the x axis compensation is effecting the scale in the y direction, and the y axis compensation doesn't do anything. I found this out after trying to fix the dimensions slightly and it not working at all. So I did 400% for the x axis, and for some reason it scaled the y axis instead. An...

Re: Replacement for top cover

Yeah I did notice that Raise3d formulates their PLA so that it doesn't grind in the extruder. We use Hatchbox and eSUN mostly, and they work great on my other printer, and on this one when the top is removed. It surprises me that PETG does the same thing, even though it is a higher temperature plast...

Replacement for top cover

Hey guys, I have had quite a bit of problems with the extruder motor getting too hot and grinding the filament when I put the top cover on. This happens with both PLA and PETG. I tried changing the motor voltage, but that just reduces the torque and it starts clicking, and doesn't reduce the tempera...

Re: Variable Layer Height

Even better would be a layer height for infill, and a layer height for perimeters :)

Re: Feedback on N2 plus dual

I haven't tried super high temperatures, but if you do that, I know it will start degrading the print quality very quickly due to the oozing when you slow the extruder down for corners, or when you retract. But I will run a few tests when I get a chance and post the pictures. What temperature do you...

Re: Feedback on N2 plus dual

3. Yes on the touchscreen. I haven't tried using IdeaMaker to set it higher yet. 4. Is there any way to change the PID parameters without going into firmware? I would prefer not to touch it. If there isn't, you might want to build that into your next updated for the touchscreen. That would be really...

Feedback on N2 plus dual

Hello, I have had many issues come up with the N2 plus at my work, and I just wanted to make a list so people are aware before they buy the printer, and so that Raise3D can improve things. Just to be clear, I have had experience with many, many 3d printers including 3 of my own. These problems are n...

X-axis skipping steps

We have an N2 plus, and we are having problems with the x-axis skipping steps. I looked at the forums, and I saw that you should try moving the carriage back and forth by hand and see if it sticks anywhere. It looks like it gets stuck at the end of the x-axis (to the right, where the filament is) an...

Problem with rotating view in 2.5.0.750

I just downloaded 2.5.0.750 and I noticed that rotating the view no longer works unless you are in "View" mode. This gets a little annoying in my opinion, because I am constantly rotating the view. Also, I'm not sure if this changed because I don't remember which button I used before, but ...

Re: Automatic pin/hole connections

@Vicky Basically just provide options for the difference in diameter between the pins and holes. So instead of typing in that you want 3mm holes and 2.9mm pins, you could just select "tight fit" and "small pins" or something like that. Just to make it a little more intuitive for ...

Automatic pin/hole connections

First of all, I absolutely love the cut feature in ideamaker. It makes it super easy to edit models and cut down big models into small pieces. However, I think the feature that would really push it over the edge is being able to place pins and corresponding holes in the two halves. It would be simil...

Re: Multiple parts with different settings

The layer height wouldn't be a problem as long as they are multiples of eachother. For instance, if you print one object at 0.1mm layer height, and another at 0.3mm layer height, the 0.3mm object would only be printed every 3 layers. Either that or you could do what other slicers have done and print...

Multiple parts with different settings

With large build platforms it is often nice to print multiple objects at once. Especially if you have a lot of time overnight or when you are gone, and you need to print a lot of stuff. However, some objects might need different settings than others, so it would be nice to be able to control which p...

Re: Change infill thickness only, dense support material, bridging settings

1. Keep working at it! Other slicers do it so you should be able to do it too :). 2. If you are only printing a little bit of the dissolvable filament, you could just turn down the temperature of the nozzle while it's not printing. That way it doesn't ooze and you don't need to wipe it on a wipe wal...

Change infill thickness only, dense support material, bridging settings

I have a few requests for features that I think would greatly benefit the ideamaker software, in order of importance: 1. Ability to change the layer thickness of just the infill and supports This would allow you to print at the amazing .01mm resolution without taking so long to print. Basically you ...
