Re: Clicking sound on Z axis

Once in a while I'll get clicking at the building plate connection. Only does it for certain z movements, and usually not for long. Troublesome but hasn't caused a problem yet.

Why would I change the build plate settings, they were correct at 305x305. I know how to work around stuff, just wanted to let R3D they had an issue.

BTW - Ideamaker 2.5 fixed this issue for me

ideamaker 2.4 won't allow full build volume

I have a long model, that will fit diagonally within the 305x305 build volume of my R3D. The older version allowed me to fit it without any issues, the new version will not. I even loaded in an old idea file with the right half of my model (model is split in half), which is the same width/length as ...

Shipping rates

Why is shipping so much on Raise3D store? Tried to purchase 2 rolls of filament and they want $24 to ship from California to Maryland?

Did you slice with S3D or IM? When I sliced with IM it had supports for the entire ring, so 70+ hrs.

Vicky - you misunderstood. I love the NEW feature without the arrows, do not put back that was clunky.

This is definitely my preferred method, hated the arrows

Re: touchscreen random crash

Wait for you result. My 72 hour print just finished perfectly, no screen crashes/lockups. On a side note, I love the R3D filament as it works everytime, just hate the $33 shipping for 3 rolls, when the warehouse ships it in flat rate box that costs $18. - of course those overseas will say the $33 i...

Re: touchscreen random crash

crashes were at different times, but the same model/gcode.

I'm 28 hours into a 72 hour print.....so far so good (fingers crossed), different model. Once this is done I'll reslice the other and re-run it.

Re: Z-hop crazy time

I think its a bug in Ideamaker. I get all kind of crazy print times estimated only for them to be 1/3 or 1/2. I haven't figured out which setting throws it off since the set ones seem to be accurate, but on a few of my customs I'll get 120hr print times and its done in 12.

Re: touchscreen random crash

Vicky - Print stopped when the screen was stuck. I never had this problem until the last two prints. The first time it happened, I turned off the machine, waited a few minutes, turned it back on and the screen gave me the option to resume. This time, the screen froze and remained on even when I turn...

Why would that make any difference, its a machine with a frame? I laid mine on its back with no issues.

Re: Z-axis noise / lined/grooved print

All my prints are coming out fine, so it was definitely the two loose screws on the z-axis motor. Now to put the bottom plate back on.

Re: Z-axis noise / lined/grooved print

I'm going to run the same print that messed up and I'll let you know. The small print came out nice. A few suggestions since loose screws seem to be a common issue, not sure if its a QC at the factory or if its from shipping, etc. 1) Add printed text on the bed near both Z-axis screws that are not t...

Re: Z-axis noise / lined/grooved print

The noise seemed to be coming from under the unit, so I turned it on its side and removed the bottom panel. I found both set screws on the z-axis stepper motor to be loose. So I tightened those (see picture) and I've started a small print and it looks to be better. If not I will look at the stepper ...
