Re: Just Released N2 Pro
The use of 3D printed parts in new products is becoming more and more common. If there is 3d printed parts made by Raise3d, I hope they will put more quality on the material used and a better external finish. Because I have seen ugly parts sometime in the past. And if we look on the pictures of the...

Re: Looking for a printer, should we buy a new Pro2, new N2 or a used N2?
It really all depends on WHAT you plan to use the machine for. Are you a prototyping shop? Are you an enthusiast? Do you need to print with any filament or will PLA work? A lot of questions to better help us. The closed firmware hasn't been an issue for us. Do you really intend on making any change...

Re: Really perfect self repair instructions ...
Sorry if I have to mention this time the competition, but since I myself was a customer of Zortrax I have to mention the MODEL support page of Zortrax ... SO must be a support page for your own hardware / software that truly explains StepbyStep's instructions for repair and / or problems. RAISE3D i...

Re: ABS Build Surface - PEI? Geckotek?
Here some images of some big prints I made with the LokBuild bed surface. To encourage you! In the past, I have tested to put a 1/8" thick aluminium plate instead of a glass. Finally this was not flat or straight enough. I bought 2 High Temperature Build Plate from Raise3d, in order to have man...

Re: Bondtech BMG upgrade for the N series
Yesterday, my friend came to my house yesterday with his Multimeter. We lowered the voltage of the stepper motor of the Bondtech extruders at 0.5V. So, everything is set now! I did not have clogging issue. I tried with ABS, with the Top cover on, for a 20 hours print. No problem. Just to let you kno...

Re: Raise3D Fan Duct Pro2 Plus
On the “old” printers the left and right fans are always on. And the extra fan connection can be controlled via gcode. But the new printers I don’t know. I know. But you could put the left and right fans be controlled via gcode ( controller board there is 2 empty plugs) , and add a central 40mm fan...

Noren wrote:With this new design how do you go about printing abs? No lid for the fan duct?
I think that the central fan is only for hot ends. The left and right side fans are control by Ideamaker.
Am I right?

Re: Raise3D Fan Duct Pro2 Plus
Thank you Vicky, I appreciate. So, like we thought, there is some changes between the N2-N2-Plus and the Pro2.
It will give me an idea how to mix the Fan Duct design, in order to retrofit our cooling system. I know that many people
have done this, but I will give a look.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor
Has this thing shipped yet? I'm pretty sure I pre-ordered as soon as I got the email. If not, any new release date? Last estimate from Raise was "March", which I'm pretty sure is over. I second. I order it the day 1, and I did not received it yet. And I hope it will be an injection molded...

Re: ABS Build Surface - PEI? Geckotek?
So I have a Lokbuild surface and a spool of eSun ABS+ arriving tomorrow for Amazon. :) I will let you all know how it shakes out. Great! Take care not to clean your LokBuild with Isopropyl Alcohol more than 30% ( not 70%), as the supplier says. Also, be careful for the z height between the surface ...

Re: Bondtech BMG upgrade for the N series
I never remove the top cover unless printing PLA. I haven't done 50 hours with ABS, but I've done some 30 hour prints without issue. 40+ hours on PETG. Ok good. I wonder what is the temperature of your stepper motors from the extruders? Of course, during your long prints and with the top cover. Luc

Re: ABS Build Surface - PEI? Geckotek?
So, those two build surfaces that you are recommending. Are they specifically the best that you've found for ABS or just the best all-around? I've found that most surface materials that are great for some plastics don't play as well with others. They are also The best for ABS. http://www.lokbuild.c...

Re: ABS Build Surface - PEI? Geckotek?
My suggestion is simple. Since 2 years, I have tried Buildtak, GeckoTek plate, PrinTinZ zebra plate, PEI, hairspray, glue, blue tape, glass, etc... With ABS,ASA, PLA,TPU,POLYFLEX,PETG,etc... But the 2 bests surfaces up to now are LokBuild and GeckoTek EZ-Stik Hot 3D Printer Build Surface. And I am n...

Bottom line, if you do not know what you are doing, DO NOT ever touch heater and thermocouple wiring. I know that is harsh, but the reality is, your life could depend on it. https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/8ah96r/anet_a8_burns_down_half_the_house/?st=JFPFGS4V&sh=e4afc9b9 . https://...

Re: Bondtech BMG upgrade for the N series
Ok, I lowered the voltage of the stepper motor of the Bondtech extruders. They are at 40-48°C approximately now.
I did not have clogging issue since the last one. So far so good!
Will it be possible to print ABS with the Top cover on, for a 50 hours printing, for example?

I finalised my drawings today and gave them to my friend. So he will print all the parts during next weeks. Order the lexan sheets.
And we will see how it is going! I will let you know!

If you just want to stop the cables from rubbing the stock cover, see my topic on this subject: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1773. Very nice cover by the way! Thank you JohnSays. Yes, I bought these PTFE tube recommended by Jetguy in the past. With my new Bondtech extruders, the head is lower than the s...
