That's remarkably quiet in operation. I did something similar a while back for a robot arm. I printed in PLA, and it was very noisy.

Its because the 30v supply exceeds the transistors 20v gate limit.

Its the 100n capacitor I don't understand. Its just going to hold the transistors in the danger zone for 1ms every cycle.

Yes, the system has feedback and attempts corrections. But again, there are limits here. Filament is cut and spliced to commanded lengths per the gcode.
