Re: Failure Analysis - Dualextrusion PLA/Scaffold 24h,

Jetguy, thanks for your long reply and all the explanation. I absolutly agree, that cutting a model and printing it in multiple parts, is in many cases the more time and cost effective method but it also, at least in my opinion, takes away the -let's call it- "magic" of additive manufactur...

Failure Analysis - Dualextrusion PLA/Scaffold 24h,

Hi Guys, I tried to print a large dual extrusion (DE) model over night but sadly it failed again. Materials used were: - PLA, red - DasFilament - Scaffold - Spool.Works (E3D) I don't really know, why it failed though, because i used settings, that usually work fine when not printing a DE model. Mayb...

Open toplayer in printed model

Hi Guys,

can you help me solve the problem shown in the pictures?
There is a small space in the toplayers, that is not supposed to be there.

Is it a slicing or a printigparameter problem?

Thanks!

Re: Hot motor

I'm thinking of exchanging my extruder motor as well. For this I need some help for selectig a motor, that runs cooler than the supplied Minbea one (got the N2 Dual). Because at Vref=0,5 I still have troubles extruding even HT-filaments on long prints (>7hrs) with closed lid. So far I found these tw...

Re: N2 bed not leveled at factory

Well, my "factory leveled bed" looked like this at 65°C (see Attachment). This meant, I was completely unable to print lager prints or multiple objects at the same time, because bed leveling was more or less "bed area leveling" and did not at all work for the entire thing. Trying...

Heatbed Components and Data

Hi, Planning to swap the original bed with a custom heated bed due to massive flatness deviations and thus failing large prints... Can anyone tell me what the marked components (if possible + datasheet) in the pictures are and how much W the original heatbed needs? If nothing was changed by R...

Problems with metal (bronze) filled PLA

Hi, i bought a pack of Colorfabbs "Bronze Fill" (75-80€/kg) to print a "large" model (250mm height) for decorational purpose. I've been using this filament without any problems on DeltaTower V2 and V3 and even in a GermanRepRap X400 sliced by cura. On the N2 with IL as a slicer I...

Re: PVA Support Material Test

Hi, i use the Formfutura PVA and it seems to be easy to print at 185-200°C. Nice adhesion to the naked glas at 70-85°C and good printing quality as long as it's the only material and there are no retractions. If I use it in dual extrusion though, i cant make it past the 2-3 layer of PLA/PETG (no bon...
