Re: Touchscreen Firmware 1.0.0 Release Note 2018.8.31

Will inform the technicians to follow up. All done. Thank you! A transcript of the email I sent to the technician: "All went well. At first I had an error transferring the file. I was in a Mac using Interarchy to do SCP. The log pointed to a no space error. I tried to batch delete but Interarc...

Re: Touchscreen Firmware 1.0.0 Release Note 2018.8.31

Can the touchscreen recognize the other files in the USB drive? Yes, it can see Gcode files inside. Tried again, reformatted the drive many times, FAT32, copied only the updater file, but after a long wait with a black screen all I have is version 0.9.2.1026... I tried also rollback to 0.9.0, unsuc...

Tried twice, with two different USB sticks. Same behavior.

Can't upgrade past 0.9.2. Tried on a fresh formatted SD card, first to the last release (1_0_0_831), then incremental from 0.9.7. No dice...

Did you compared real print times or what the software predicted? There is a huge difference.

Not sure...

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: abs.

Re: Can I do variable infill ? - I need some advice

In S3D you can define different set of settings (they cal Processes) for different layers, meaning that this will be stacked. You can't vary horizontally. Cura also have a plugin (I never used) for this stack tweaking: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/swap-at-z Maybe you could fix this modifying yo...

Re: Printing Wax

Hi Jetguy, thanks for the observation. I'm pretty sure that it's tight and will not leak. I'm using a E3D nozzle, the thread it's a bit longer so it's difficult if not impossible to the nozzle tight on the block before it reachs the thermal tube. And yes it is a little off, not oriented. Besides, th...

Printing Wax

I was experimenting with wax filament printing, both Moldlay and Print2cast. Moldlay was, I think, the first wax filament launched, by the same guy who made Laywoo. Print2cast is offered by Machinablewax, lost wax cast specialists. I thought that it was superior then Moldlay thinking that they knew ...

Re: More about bigness

For the alignment, if you scaled the model, I think you have to calculated the scaling factor manually and adjust the 2nd part accordingly. I discussed this issue (scaling factor not shown correctly) in another thread. Forget my post, I always forget that you mostly use S3D and Cura. :-) I use also...

Re: printing with .8 nozzle

I personally tested 0.8mm nozzles and had issues using Ideamaker to get some test prints calibrated. Using S3D instantly produced the expected results. I don't know if there are issues, it's been a few weeks since I tried to repeat this and there have been ideamaker updates. For reference, here is ...

More about bigness

Finished my first big print, with big layers. From the printer side all went fine. S3D as always lied about time consuming, calculated 51h but at the end was something around 60-65. I'm not sure because it finished overnight (a log would be useful). From my side I don't know, the model was better on...

Will you even try to go higher with the layer size?

I think this is the limit for this nozzle (0.6 nozzle -> 0.5 layer)

Re: Any Owners Out There? Should I drop my Zortrax Inventure Pre-order?

Forget about Inventure, it's a too close system. I have a M200 Zortrax, my first printer. Bought also a Craftbot and now a N2+. I use the 3, I in different ways like the 3. Each one have virtues and flaws. But for a very large print only the N2+, for a reliable ABS print I go Zortrax, for a quick PL...
