Re: N2 Bed Temp Variation

Very interesting observation. I have a Flir-one Pro and will perform a similar check on my Heat Bed. (Although I’m not certain if slight temp variations will impact adhesion / warping with most materials.) Also, while a potentially stupid question; did you have the bed lowered for the entire time th...

Re: N2 bed not leveled at factory

Despite Raise3D’s insistence that their Factory-leveled system is superior; it leaves much to be desired if your bed is ever out of level. I had to replace a bad heat bed; which eliminated the factory level. Utilizing a gauge with a different variant of your mount (found on Thingiverse) I spent two ...

Re: Poll - Do you use Ethernet, Wifi or Flash Drive to transfer your files to your Raise3D printer?

Hardware Ethernet Cable. I’ll typically send the file, then go to the home screen and preheat my nozzles & print bed. If it’s a small file, I’ll reverse that order.

Re: Filament Run-out Sensor Install Problem

Do you have any tool on hand to measure the inner diameter of your origin tubes? Just want to make sure that is there any batch with different sizes tube that we don't realize. It looks like that is the most likely problem. With Calipers, I'm getting an ID of about 3.85 -3.9 MM and OD is reading ab...

Re: Filament Run-out Sensor Install Problem

Never mind; I didn't realize how cheap the Bowden couplings were on Amazon. Just ordered some to replace my 6 mm OD couplings.

Filament Run-out Sensor Install Problem

I'm having some difficulty with the installation of the Run-out sensor on my N2-Plus (Early Production, Kickstarter Backer #42). Specifically, the 4 mm OD Bowden Tubes will not fit inside of the factory 6 mm OD Tubes that came with my printer. At best, I can push the 4 mm tube, 1-2 CM into the 6 mm ...

Re: ABS Build Surface - PEI? Geckotek?

I’ve found the best adhesion via plain glass, brushed with a layer of ABS slurry (dissolve some clear ABS in Acetone, then brush a few layers onto the glass. You want to use clear; otherwise, printing with other colors of ABS will leave a thin level of the slurry color, at the bottom of your print. ...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

I really need this as well. Don’t want to sleep with the printer on. But sometimes I fall asleep before it’s finished. And then my son is mad about the fan noise when he wakes up in the middle of the night and can’t fall backs to sleep. Since the main power is a physical switch, unrelated to the ot...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

You don't see to many Gen1 products that are such a success that buyers were super happy about the purchase. Gen1 is usually reserved as a learning curve for the mfg. Why not price it as such. I couldn't agree more. My KS N2 Plus came with V1 Hot Ends. I paid a steep upgrade price to obtain two V2 ...

Anyway, as any N2 owner I really hope to see at least the retractable nozzle as an upgrade. I have been thinking about changing this myself somehow but haven't begun yet because it isn't simple I think.

Ditto that!

Re: Has anyone been able to print PLA with soluble support on an N2?

I've used HIPS in the past; but it can get a bit messy. I recently began to experiment with Polysmooth from Polymaker. It is a plastic that becomes soft & will eventually dissolve in isopropyl alcohol. Unfortunately; shortly after I began to play with this; my heatbed's 3-pin connector literally...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

I hope raise3d will sell the print heads and the new bed. I tried buying some dglass3d auto raise heads but they said they no longer mfg the 1.75 sized unit nor had any left even in just parts. I've been thinking about doing the mod someone on here did for as an overkill bed upgrade. I've tried sev...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

generally filled filaments just need a more durable nozzle than brass. Stainless is a popular option. R3D has plated brass. I don't know what it's plated with, but they are supposed to hold up. I've printed CF Nylon on my N2 without issue. For the rougher filaments; especially the metal infused one...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

@bwulfe: You said " My N2 Plus came with a simple webcam." Interesting. Mine is less than 2 months old, and it did not come with one. Anyone know what is going on with this feature? The camera was an add-on option from the Kickstarter Campaign. They may have discontinued the option; but, ...

Doesn't anyone search Thingiverse or google? A very similar fan bracket mod can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2792586, or for just under $10.00, I found a nice design (closer to the Pro2) at https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/raise3d-n2-plus-upgrade-cooling-fan-mount-for-controlled...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

Again, my take is that for a new user considering this printer, yes, the Thanks for the analysis. I was trying to decide between the N2 and N2+. Now, I have to also consider the Pro2/Pro2+. The price for the Pro2+ is too high. Unless there is a list of good reasons, I am not going to buy it. Are th...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

One point I keep seeing mentioned seems to be a mystery to me. What is it about the camera, that everyone is complaining about? My N2 Plus came with a simple webcam. It’s nothing spectacular; but it works. Initially, there was a Raise3D branded app to monitor it; but (at least for iOS devices) when ...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

Congratulations, Raise3D. Personally, I'm most interested in seeing sample prints, and in more technical detail about the extruder. I'd also be curious about the long-term availability of the current models. As someone who recently left a corporate environment, I can see the need for a "servic...

Re: Just Released N2 Pro

I would also be curious as to whether or not upgrade kits (or sub-kits) might be offered. I already have the Bondtech Dual Direct Extruder on my N2 Plus (From the photo's, it appears that this is the extruder used on the Pro2 ... you can zoom in and see the Bondtech logo on the side release levers) ...

Re: Simplify3D Offset Issue

OK, I played around with S3D 3.1 some more last night. I didn't get around to verifying whether or not this issue is unique to the N2 Plus settings or if it is common to both the N2 and N2 Plus; but the Left and Right extruders are definitely reversed in the settings. Any job / setting applied to th...
