Re: Can we talk about the Pro2 camera quality?

@Vicky Does the system have the power to do a photo per minute at full camera resolution and store to an external USB for post processing of time-lapses by a dedicated PC?

Re: Cables touching Belts

I noticed this on mine as well while printing large area prints. I did the same as you and just managed to push them all up and tuck them away a bit. It did fray the protective sheathing on the heating element wires a bit before I noticed it. Definitely something to look out for from end-users and R...

That's what I was going to ask. It could easily be a drying issue.

Re: Solved : overheating , Jams , fail Prints , stuck Pro2

I'd like to ad Push Plastic PLA to the list of PLAs that are not compatable with the Raise3D Pro2. I've done all the fan mods except for the Nema fans, I've reduced my temps, increased my flow % and still have ran into 3 consecutive jams at the cost of a few bucks material each time and a whole lot ...

Re: Extruder Jam and stuck fillament Pro2

Unfortunately I had another heat creep jam last night even with all the add on modifications. Not sure what to do from here. Ran with the lid off and the door open. Should I add fans to the stepper motors? Should I run faster to prevent melting in the feed throat? Should I cool my hot ends down a bu...

Re: Can we talk about the Pro2 camera quality?

Wait, so you're telling me a camera was put into the product and bottle-necked to the point that the image is difficult to discern because of processing limitations? Change the hardware to accommodate and pass the cost on to your customer for gosh darn sake if you're going to advertise a camera on a...

Can we talk about the Pro2 camera quality?

Can we all agree that paying $4,000 USD for a 3D printer that advertises an included camera in the year of 2018, and realizing that you had a better camera in your flip phone from 2007 is a bit disappointing? Raised - Is the apparent terrible resolution in the included camera in the Pro2 line a resu...

Re: Extruder Jam and stuck fillament Pro2

Happy to report that since replacing the fan with one from Jaycar and adding the inlet nozzle we have had no issues at all. I've attached the STL of the inlet nozzle if anyone is interested. Fan inlet cone.STL As mentioned earlier my original fan sucked the hot air from the head which apparently is...

Re: Extruder Jam and stuck fillament Pro2

My left extruder just jammed with PLA, and like everyone else I now have to take the whole thing apart. I touched the fan and half the blades fell off. It now vibrates so badly that I can't even turn it on.

Re: IdeaMaker support for 3DConnexion SpaceNavigator for Notebooks.

@Vicky - Here is the 3DConnexion software developer page. They're pretty much the only name in 3D mouses, and their software allows users to set their preferred settings outside of the 3D software. https://www.3dconnexion.com/service/software-developer.html Additionally, a mouse wheel invert option ...

Re: Feed Gears Slipping in Flexible TPU

Just cleaned the gears out completely after taking the whole feeder unit apart. There was a small amount of red pigment from a earlier very powdery red TPU from the same manufacterer that I was able to clean out. I am running fairly smooth right now! The real big difference is that I am now bypassin...

I ran into this with thin walled ABS prints. Turn on your Z-Hop to like 0.25mm and it should resolve itself.

Re: Feed Gears Slipping in Flexible TPU

I've been running with retraction off and my preload all the way tightened.

The Push Plastic TPU is basically a wet noodle in flexablity. Maybe I should try setting slightly less soft.

Re: Feed Gears Slipping in Flexible TPU

I'm come to realize that this is a design flaw, or design compromise, in the Pro2. Both L and R feed gear sets on the Pro2 are FAR more removed from the extruder head than the L feed gear set on the N2. Because of this the printer is basically acting as a bowden type extruder for both L & R head...

Re: Shells vs Infill

This is an issue I'm running into with highly flexible TPU from Push Plastic. I can't the print to actually print 100% infill with the setting as such. It's still stringy, and very much a hollow matrix. However setting the part to all shell seems to resolve the problem. I'm not sure what is restrict...

Feed Gears Slipping in Flexible TPU

I'm trying to run Push Plastic's TPU material but my drive gears on my Pro 2 keep slipping and ruining my print. I've got my flow feed rate down to 8mm/s and it's still slipping! I even have my filament spool on a ball bearing with near no resistance. Can more aggressive feed gears be purchased and ...

It's officially November, will RaiseCloud launch soon for the masses?

Will it allow us to use the webcam to remote view our prints?
