Re: ideamaker print times

Speaking about 'pause at layer' Would it be possible to insert pause after extruding x grams of filament. for example if i have 300g left of spool and the job needs 500g to finish. it will pause with say 20g remaining on the spool +/- 10g and be ready for user action to change material. also would b...

Re: ideamaker print times

i would like to see an estimated print finish time (date and time) along with duration for print jobs.
Also if you can add an estimated time to next pause at layer (with date and time) that would be super useful.

Re: eSun ABS+ vs. eSun ABS

I use alot of esun abs (cos its cheap and consistant quality) but it does not readily dissolve in acetone - it gets sort of mushy but only after an extended soak.Never runny like propper ABS such as E3D MG94 grade ABS - which is fantastic stuff.

Re: Can't get this to print. Any advice?

coppied from the thingiverse page: PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS Do not use a raft as parts are not prone to warping and make clean up harder, I do use a brim however to aid adhesion. Instructions as follows: Print all parts with support touching build plate. Remove support, however the PokeBall has been de...

Re: Need suggestions on how to fix this hot end problem

the screw is likely to be hardened steel (8.8 or 10.9 grade) which a drill wont touch (unless you use carbide tip bits) but even so they are so small in diameter that you will need a stable drill press to avoid breaking the drill. either way, the heater block is kapput.

Re: Cellular Lamp

0.5 is more robust agaisnt clogging than 0.4, can extrude faster and at taller layer heights. ABS because thats what i have a lot of at this time.

Re: The filiment guide piece included in the box

i recormend you replace the clear PVC guide tubes and use PTFE guide tubes instead (these are white not clear) for much lower friction in the feed ways and to increase feed reliability.

Re: Filament monitor

i think the above is still the case, i have a feeling that this cant be implemented without using a filament guide tube to keep the feed path a constant length, many users have modified to use feed tubes to stop jerking of the filament causing faulure to feed issues.

Re: z stepper driver replacement help

I had a look at what voltage the A4899 was set at from the factory - it turned out it was 0.6v which is why the motor struggled during use. i turned it up to 1.0v and this solved the issue straight away :) I will also try this again with the TMC2100 with the voltage turned up to 1.0 next. thanks for...

z stepper driver replacement help

My old stepper driver had died so i replaced it with a generic A4988 driver. I have noticed some strange behavoir. when manually jogging the Z stage it moves fine, but when starting a print, the z stage drops a few cm to prime the nozzle but when the head travels to the build area and brings the Z s...

Re: Firmware 1.1.4 Released

i would also reccormend you have the stable release and a beta release for new firmware to be tested- and after 2 months of stable use, the beta can be considered for stable release reclassification.
