Re: having issues with curved thin angled walls

it is the top of the part, it has nothing to do with the bed, as I have a raft, the bottom of the two layers of the 45 degree half angle cones aren't sticking to the previous layers, but only in one of 4 segments.

having issues with curved thin angled walls

so for some reason I keep getting the following issue on my prints IMG_20180419_125548490.jpg . I have also attached the STL, I am printing at a .2 mm layer height with the stock .4 mm nozzle in ABS. I am using S3D for slicing and have attached the factory files as well. What I find odd is that it i...

Re: How to clean the threads in the hotend

I wouldn't care about the plastic on the threads, except that it is preventing me from actually screwing the parts back together. Thanks for the tap sizes though.

How to clean the threads in the hotend [solved]

So, earlier this week I had a print failure where it was overextruding and the bubbles from the overextrusion caught on the nozzle. This went on for several hours before I caught it (I was printing overnight). Unbeknownst to me, this caused the nozzle to loosen slightly, so when I tried running a di...

Is there a speed limiter on the N2 plus dual?

I am using S3D and the estimated time on my current part is ~62 hours, but the actual print time (from the dashboard) is ~92 hours, I am trying to find the reason for this significant discrepancy. It could just be acceleration differences but 30 hours difference?

Re: issue with pause and resume functions

I would rather not use beta firmware on a printer that I don't personally own.

Re: issue with pause and resume functions

probably not, I am using the printer to produce parts for my graduate research and can't really spare the time.

additionally, the load function went into the load screen and showed 40 degrees, but wouldn't rise even after a few minutes.

Re: issue with pause and resume functions

40 c was the current temperature, the nozzle was set at 0, so 40 was ambient in the enclosed volume.

Re: issue with pause and resume functions

I just paused the current print, and tried to drop the temperature to 0, but it just reverted to 250, then I tried 230 and again, it reverted to 250, then I resumed and it dropped to 230 while printing (it didn't wait during the restart process). I have attached the serial log. Just as a note I get...

Re: issue with pause and resume functions

the bed was still at 110 degrees which is good, because if it drops below about 70 degrees, my material pops right off the build surface. But I was unable to pre-heat the nozzle. as soon as I stopped the print it went into the load screen. but I have run several prints since then and I don't know if...

Re: Printer does not start, touchscreen stays dark

I had a bad board on a replacement screen a few weeks ago, the only solution was another replacement screen. That screen would turn on the backlight but nothing further would happen, I tried disconnecting the battery but that didn't fix the problem either. You probably have a bad board like Jetguy s...

issue with pause and resume functions

so last night, I paused a print that had been running for over 30 hours because I wasn't sure there was enough filament left to complete it overnight, I tried to turn the nozzle down during the pause, but it wouldn't come down, then I came in this morning and it had dropped to 40 degrees (the bed wa...

thanks, "my" printer actually belongs to my lab and I will only be there for a few more months, but I might pass this along to whoever takes over.

filament out detection

really getting annoyed at the lack of filament out detection, especially with the very large print volume and the limitation to 1 kg spools of filament for enclosed prints. I just had to throw out a fair amount of wasted material because I ran out of filament at the end of the print...
