Re: Minimal layer print time not working?

The print won't pause. Only the printing speed of those small layers will be reduced by scale. But the speed cannot be lower than Minimal Printing Speed settings which is another setting below Minimal Layer Print Time.

Re: Reliable supports that's "not" touching platform?

I made a simple model to test different supports. I noticed that when I place manually supports with a pillar (with a size of 4mm) the bottom and the top of the supports doesn't conform to the shape of the object? Is this a bug? Or has it always behaved like this? Seams really stupid or am I missin...

Re: Reliable supports that's "not" touching platform?

Solid Base Layers only work for base layers which are the first several layers of the printing.
If you want to give each support structure a solid starter, you can try Dense Support Layer which will set both the starter and end of each support structure to be dense layers.

Re: Please make screen lock persist through resets

Do you mean the reset button at the back side of the screen box?
It is a hardware reset, force the board to reboot, like you unplug the main power and replug it or trigger the main power switch at the back side.

So, do we have a fix for this?

Thanks,

Can you please advise the ticket number?
Let's try a software first. If no help, then need to replace the hardware.

Re: Thermal-Protector - available soon to all

I'm planning on making a large purchase (like three N2+, and more in the future) with an institution that I'm affiliated with. Will those be fine or do I have to order and make these fixes separately? Since both thermal protector and filament run-out sensor are both at pre-order stage, we don't hav...

Check the preview of your model and choose Structure option.

Re: Hot End Filament Leak

Filament leakage is normally because the throat tube and nozzle are not well sealed with each other. A minor gap between will cause the melt filament leak out. Have you checked our assembling instruction and followed step by step carefully during the reassembling? Did you leave a minor gap between n...

Re: First Layer Fan Speed Not at Zero

"Turn on both fans"? If yours is a dual-extruder, both of the fans should be always-on no matter you are printing or not or use which nozzle to print. My N2+ is dual extruder but only the left fan is on when only using the left nozzle. Please make sure whether the two fan cables are well ...

Re: Extruder temperature

During nozzle switching, the unused nozzle will have a retraction before stopping using. Which will reduce some oozing. But retraction can hardly pull back all the melt filament inside nozzle, so that we develop options for dual-printing like Wipewall, WipeTower, to let the nozzle wipe out the oozed...

Re: Throat Tube Crooked

Did you feel any resistance during disassembling or reassembling? Have you remove the nozzle first then throat tube? During removing nozzle, did you hold the heating block or throat tube or apply any force to throat tube? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3EaDHNdlKU&t=29s https://www.youtube.com/...

Re: Update FW... HOW?

Haven't tried checking fuse bits with the connectors you mentioned. We use JTAG to flash firmware and boothloader and SPI as the communication Bus. Interrested to have the procedure by MP because I have a new spare controller from my supplyer wich is not detected via usb. It's seems bootloder is no...

Re: Feature request for internal support or infill when needed.

The way I mentioned above is the same as the way Squenz explained.
Attached the link of release note of version 3.0 before, which includes some examples inside how to start with per-layer and per-group settings.

You can uncheck this option. And edit the start codes above to be the ones in order you need. Then ideaMaker will stop inserting default heating code into start code any more with this option disabled.

Re: Retraction problem with 3.1.0

I do not get it though. How can any part of the *first* layer be considered *inside* the model? Well, the "model" I meant here refers to the structure inside "shells". Sorry for misunderstanding. How? I tried to find it in the "Group and Layer Settings" which btw. is a...

Re: ideaMaker 3.1.0 Release Note

Do you mean the software increase solid layer quantity automatically after user editing the layer thickness? Yes, that's what was meant. I stumbled over the wohle thing myself. Printing at general 0.25 layer height, i gave the part 3 bottom and 3 top layers. Then i changed the layer height from z0 ...

I'm also seeing some UI update errors in IdeaMaker 3.1.0.1545. The windows aren't rendering text properly.
