Re: Bad surface of layer on the underside of prints - what can be the reason?

The "dots" look like start points of every layer. You can compare your result with the .gcode file preview in ideaMaker. Check Show Current Layer and move the two sliding blocks below to check the moving path of each layer. You can change the Layer Start Point's position in ideaMaker or in...

Re: Printer shutdown without power off?

The power switch is at the back side of the machine. If you want to cut off the main power, you can just shot the switch off, then fans and boards will stop working.

Re: V2 Hot End Information and Q&A

I will recommend to start from cube first. Then measure the X and Y size with caliper. And set the X Y compensation under Printer -> Printer Settings. Then test the cube again. Until it reaches the correct size.
Then print the fixture for hotend.

Re: WPA2 Security Vulnerability

Thank for your suggestion!
For the recent WPA2 Security problem, we need to confirm with our supplier of Wi-Fi chips first for more details. Then we will discuss together whether there is a good solution for this.

Re: Polymaker PolyFlex - printable? How?

Btw. - just an idea, but I think it would be possible to implement some counter measures within the slicer SW. It should be not too hard to calculate the dynamics of the print while slicing so one could then create gcode lowering the acceleration for critical areas? If it is possible to change that...

Re: Cura vs IdeaMaker

1. In current ideaMaker, there already exist print templates for PLA, ABS, PolyPC, PolyFlex, PolySupport, Elastic, HIPS and PETG. We will test more filament in near future and enlarge the kinds here. 1.png 2. ideaMaker has already added Pause on Height. And changing temperature by layer will be adde...

Re: remote raised 3D ? wifi ?

Our touchscreen does act as an important part on our machine. And we are keeping on developing the touchscreen firmware, you will see more functions it can achieve in near future. I will recommend keep the origin screen.
And, yes, this modification will lose the warranty of your machine.

Re: Changing the nozzle @ N2

As Jetguy said above, taking the whole hotend off from the machine and holding the heating block to carry out the nozzle changing will be much more safe then directly doing it when it is fixed on machine. Or you may break the throat tube. Here attached the instruction videos about disassembling hote...

Re: templates location in OSX

Hi Vicky, I had found the custom templates I made (the User library folder is hidden by default, but if you hold the option key down in the finder go menu, it becomes visible). I believe I have loaded in the correct printer and filament, will send 3 screen shots, for PLA (where very oddly, the cust...

Re: Polymaker PolyFlex - printable? How?

Such kind of echo is hard to totally avoid. Normally it happens around the direction change points, which is due to speed suddenly changes at those points. If you drop the speed to really low, it can improve the result since it will have no such big acceleration any more. But if it doesn't brother s...

Re: Cura vs IdeaMaker

For the temperature changing based on layer, it is already inside our on-going developing list, you will see it in next version of ideaMaker. For the other options you think very useful in Cura but not currently in ideaMaker, would you like to advise more? So that we can share your request with our ...

Would like to ask share screenshots from your side to help check out the problem. For the the missing template problem, first, I would ask you for a screenshot of your empty Select Template windows. For the selecting models, please load a model into ideaMaker and share a screenshot of the main page....

Denser Support Layer from Mecha_Monster is also a good suggestion to take a try.
