Re: Oozing, Retraction lines

yes retraction is complicated and is different for different filaments and different temperatures. To test retraction I make 3 cones and space them out about 1 inch apart, print 1 shell, no fill then start tweaking the retraction. If its oozing all over then its likely that you extrusion temperature...

Re: New heat shield design

I still think you will want to insulate the top of the heatblock since the isolation tube fan exhaust is blowing on that too.

Re: Adjust Belt Alignment

My pulleys were off. I loosened the 2 set screws reset by eyeball against a pair of equal sized printed standoff spacers and re-tightened . Now someplace there are those spacers - basically a 2cm long rectangle brick with a slot cutout for the guide rods that you slip over the guide rods and it give...

Re: Auto - resume not working at 100% battery

my understanding may be off but I think it doesn't auto resume but holds gcode instruction pointer and printer settings and then you can go back to it and hit the resume function if you think it is an OK print

Re: Big spool Mod

sorry about the typo : I have a 1 inch dia rod mounted on the wall behind the printer. I use 3mmID ptfe tubing and you can just run that through a hole in the top. One bit of advice - I had the guide tubing bind as the print head moves around so I inserted even more so it can make a complete loop in...

Re: Clogging during a print

may need different temperatures, I have found some PLA's are very picky and you have to hit it within +-- 10C and some colors need different colors. Also do a temperature tower print can be quite informative. I am having some problems with drafts as well

Re: Play in the printhead

And then, i finally found the origin of my ringing problems. I'm going to put a movie in a new topic. YES , my shafts are totally bent, it's a shame   . may I suggest that your shafts may not, infact, be bent but may be misaligned and are bending under load (i.e. can be fixed). My shaft...

Re: Poly flex tips?

I found semiflex harder to print than ninja, it would bind more often. The biggest hint is unload the filament, cut off the bent parts and reload on EVERY print unless you are restaarting within a minute. I also set to 0 retraction.

Re: Intersecting meshes not printing

you need to build a proper model! Did you try the repair function in ideamaker? If that doesn't work then you need to do a boolean add of the 2 meshes in something like Blender

Re: 3dSolex Large Diameter Nozzles Tested

Trhuster -please try a clear petg with a large nozzle, eg 2mm with 1.5 mm layer height and also maybe test overhang angle all in vase mode. This could make some beautiful vases.

Re: HELP REALLY SCREWSED Up - Blue wire to right extruder heatin rod snapped

the heater was hard for me to get in , I had to heat up the block with it only partially inserted, turned of heater (it will cool before the block) then used a pin nosed pliers to push it in. Remember only push on the can Never on the wires.
