Re: Bad thermal sensor left nozzle.

But If it were working and now doesn't I guess I shouldn't mess with swapping leads? yes I agree another thought: I had the black epoxy around the top of the thermoocouple can come loose (the sensor is just a thermocouple bead inside an empty steel can held in with a dab of epoxy). check the offend...

Re: Polyflex gear skipping and settings for Bend Lay and Poly flex

First, let me suggest that you would benefit from direct help. Look around and find a makerspace, DIY group or something like that to join. We teach each other and that is a great thing. Second, if you are breaking things then you need to go slower and be more cautious. The thinner the isolation tub...

Re: Bad thermal sensor left nozzle.

BTW you will get this if you have the leads swapped. If you feel comfortable doing this then try just swapping the thermocouple leads on the breakout board on the top R side of the cold end (its under a printed black plastic cover to the R of the plexiglass beneath the cable chain, the sensors go in...

Re: Polyflex gear skipping and settings for Bend Lay and Poly flex

Nice Tutorial, Jetguy. THis should be stickied or added to FAQ imho. One additional step, if pulling back results in an isolation tube/ heatbreak clog, is to remove the nozzle and hotend - (leaving the heater and thermocouple in place!) heat it up and leave it hot for an hour, then push the cleaning...

be extra careful of silicone grease - if you get it on your build plate it will never wash off and nothing will ever stick to that spot

Re: pivot changing

One trick for placing supports is to add them from the underneath view - looking up at the model.

Re: Ninjaflex Tips ?

the biggest additional help is 1) place filament on a holder above the printer and try not to use ANY guide tubes except a short length at the top of the cold end 2) unload, trim the kink and reload IMMEDIATELY before printing, letting it sit for even 5 minutes after loading will result in a kink in...

Re: Tech support unable to advise, printing ceases after 30-40 mins

make sure that the heater and thermocouples are held tightly. Also may want to take some fine wire and wire a thermocouple directly to the groove of the threads at the top of the nozzle.

I've also had this happen from bad filament where the diameter slowly changes over 10's of meters.

Silly: YouTube vid of drunk guys trying to remove support from a helmet?

OK totally silly request but a few years ago there was a vid of 2 guys removing stuck on support from the inside of a full sized iron man helmet. It was taking hours and they kept drinking and getting frustrated and almost destroyed the print trying to get the support out. I can't seem to find the v...

Re: Print problems with TPU on N2 - Completely stumped!

feeder tube drag had me stumped for a month - no feeder tube if possible I just hung up a loop of wire over the bed to keep the filament feeding. Also, unload , trim reload and print immediately. If it sits clamped down in the cold end for a minute, the filament will pick up a kink. It also seemed t...

Re: Different Infill percentage

I sometimes model in support and fill. I really do prefer the tree type support option that s3d has when having to fill a large area, like the inside of a helmet but you have to model it by hand for now.
