Re: half of the touch screen does not work

Capacitive touch screens don't require the user to be grounded. Higher resolution screens (relatively speaking) are often segmented into halves or quadrants to improve response time. You most likely have a damaged/unseated cable between the screen overlay and the display/touch module controller (as ...

Re: Multiple STL files, not on build platform, add support structure?

Ah, well if you're doing the assembly elsewhere and therefore aren't expecting errors in assembly then I'd just tell Ideamaker you don't need supports and give the print a try.

Re: Scratches on the Top Cover

This happened to my Pro2 as well. It gets much worse than pictured here.

Unfortunately, I think preventative measures are limited to putting tape or something similar in the affected area. Otherwise you'd have to put in a radius at the top of the print head to keep the tubes from arcing upward.

Re: Pro2.1 (Pre-order Pro2 vs currently shipping Pro2)

Casale8, it may be. I was hoping that R3D would provide pre-orderers with a discount for the Tools Cabinet they're making for the base of the Pro 2, but with recent experience my thought is R3D doesn't care enough about existing customers to do something like that.

Pro2.1 (Pre-order Pro2 vs currently shipping Pro2)

I pre-ordered a Pro2 and was among the first to receive it. Raise3D recently sent me a replacement Pro2 printer in an attempt to resolve a firmware issue (they were adamant that it was a hardware issue  ). I've noticed some differences between the pre-order version and the recent replacement: ...

Re: Do they sell a larger size nozzle for the Pro 2?

They've mentioned elsewhere that as long as the nozzle is M6 x 5.5mm, it should be ok. Sorry, I don't have a link to where this was mentioned.

Re: Multiple STL files, not on build platform, add support structure?

You've got the right idea. Ideamaker is looking at each STL individually. It's not going to assume (nor should it) that those boxes are supported by other independent objects. You should use a modeling program to build models, not a slicing program. Then, once you have a complete model of the four f...

Re: 24 hours into a 53 hour print and .......

I understand all that because I have had to take this $4k POS apart more times than I have printed. I was having trouble with my right extruder not lowering when it was the only selected extruder (discussed later in this thread - http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8408). Raise3D just ...

Woah, this is a Pro 2 and it was actively switching between print heads during the print? Can you see any broken pieces in there?

I agree this would be useful for finding out how correct/useful a post is. This forum is based on the free template we_universal - https://inventea.com/en/projects/we_universal

Which doesn't seem to include this functionality. So it may be a bit of work for them to put it together.

Re: Buildtak Impression

Not sure about HIPS leaving the marks as most of the time it never touches the Buildtak. I was actually considering getting the Buildtak Flexplate but it's $175 and I haven't seen any reviews on it with the Pro2. When you remove your prints do you wait until the bed is completely cooled off? I can'...

Re: Buildtak Impression

What material do you most often print with? I have been using ABS for the strength and it works well with HIPS support material. I mostly use PLA, lately, because I've been mostly printing things for indoor use. Though upon further reflection the same markings appear for TPU. I have some HIPS to tr...

Re: Contemporary heating build plate/nozzle

AFAIK they do both heat at the same time by default. What is confusing is that the display is not updated during the process. So the displayed temperature of the bed will look like it is not heating, but as soon as the extruder hits temp it will be updated and you'll see that it's already been heat...

Re: Buildtak Impression

I've only had that happen with ABS with the 100° bed, same as you, though mine looks a bit worse. I haven't tried it yet, but isopropyl alcohol is a recommended cleaning agent (don't use acetone). I don't often print with ABS, so when I do I think I'll just use masking tape for those prints.

Re: Is my Pro2 preheating correctly?

Would you like to try the testing gcode file we provide on your printer? We are currently not sure about the root reason about the issue your meet. Maybe it is due to something wrong inside start code, so that we want to ask you to help test our code. For the Z axis dropping height in end code, we ...

Re: Touchscreen Firmware 0.9.9 Release Note 2018.5.17

No ma'am. The Bed does not stop at the stopped height, the bed moves down to about the middle of the available Z. Almost as if it were intended to offer our hands more room to remove the model from the bed. I have the same observation. It is 4 inches lower than before the last update. My Pro2 moves...

Re: Is my Pro2 preheating correctly?

Really, for the Pro2 series when we got to hard questions was, what actual motion control firmware runs on the motion board and the answer was custom firmware started from scratch- and then we get the new machine and new firmware, and it has the same old Marlin bug as the current firmware? I find t...

Mine is not nearly that asymmetrical. The difference is nearly impossible to determine visually, but measuring shows less than 0.5 mm difference.
