Re: List of Currently Used Firmware and G-Code Commands

Thank you for the info. I tried the temperature control list, but it seemed to only to change temperature on the specified, singular layer. Then the temp would revert back to the default settings. Anyway I opened up and edited the gcode using "M104 T0 Sxxx" on each temp change layer, and w...

Re: Preheat from Computer in Ideamaker

I'm mainly interested in the bed heating up, but it makes sense to just heat all 3 at once. Same here. That's why I set the bed to temp but the nozzle to 50 degrees less. It's super easy, with Ideamaker open just hit "Connect" in the top right corner, select your printer, then go to the &...

Re: List of Currently Used Firmware and G-Code Commands

I don't have a complete set of answers for you but this is what I have learned so far.... The N1, N2, and N2 Plus printers use an older and slightly modified version of Marlin firmware which is open source . The Pro2 series printers use a closed source firmware. There are a few versions of modified ...

Re: Preheat from Computer in Ideamaker

I preheat from my Computer with Ideamaker all the time. Just connect to the printer and go to the "Tune" tab. Set the nozzles and bed as desired. Monitor if desired and print when you are ready. Normally I set the bed to temp but the nozzles about 50 degrees lower since this reduces ooze a...

Re: Set up the space between the nozzle and the buildtak

As tampyman said, setting your first layer height to 0.20mm if you have spaced the nozzle from the bed at 0.20mm. However I think that's a bit crazy if you are printing at a layer height of 0.05mm. I personally don't print with a raft and try to keep the first layer height the same as my print layer...

Re: Rafts Y/N? (Supports not sticking to bed)

I have never had much luck with rafts as they always seem to be very hard to detach from my models and leave a less than desirable surface. I also try to minimize supports were at all possible when printing parts. The N2 Plus can handle overhangs quite well if your print speed, filament temperature ...

Re: Truing of the print bed?

Anytime! We were having issues with the bed warping between PLA (60C) and PETG (90C). The original method did seem to hold but adjusting was a royal pain and it didn't hold between different bed temperatures. We ran the setup & parts JohnSays posted in that thread. At first we tried a 5 point sy...

Oops! Just realized this is the Pro2 forum. Not sure if this would work on a pro2 but I don't see why not since it seems not much was changed in the leveling from the N2.

I've had similar issues when my wall was not a multiple of my extrusion width. You have a couple of choices: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... thin-walls

Re: New hot end fan necessary - hot end fan installation

Sorry I didn't understand the question. Evan is correct, it goes in the bottom and comes out the top where it plugs into the breakout board. I suggest that you tie a string or something to the wires before you pull the old ones through. The block is hollow so it can be difficult to push the wires ba...

The connectors on a N2 (and probably the Pro2) are the JST P/N: XHP-2 Housing with the JST P/N: SXH-001T-P0.6 crimp

Re: Bltouch on N2+

Which firmware are you using? The file in thingiverse from Sylus, here . Or the version in github by ABH, here ? I would personally use ABH's firmware however you will need to compile it. These two posts might help too, #1 & #2 . By the way I don't have a Bltouch and am only going by what I have...

probably not related but it seems weird that you have the Extrusion Width at 0.44mm in one window and 0.40mm in the other. is that normal on a Pro2?

Re: New Laptop, new install of Ideamaker on a different OS

Did you try to copy over your Configuration Folder? In Ideamaker Go to help>Configuration Folder I have deleted the existing contents and replaced it on several windows systems to recover / transfer our configurations. Since it's mostly XML along with the Ideamaker ".bin" & ".fila...

You can set the step count in the Touchscreen so you don't need the M92 command. We made the change in the Touchscreen and didn't make any other changes.

Ours was the same. Figured it was a test piece but it also could have been for protection of the gears as you suggested. I just unscrewd the spring and removed it with tweezers before mounting. Been working great!

Re: Where the devil are the silicone hot-end covers?

Don’t think you will need to adjust your temperature but you should Autotune the PID settings. Mine were quite different with the sock installed.
