Re: Printer unable to connect over Wifi

Is the printer connecting to the wifi and its not talking to ideaMaker, or is it not connecting at all? I only ask because my printer was connected to the wifi, but wasn't connecting to ideaMaker. Thought it was a firewall issue, but nothing I did worked. Uninstalling and re-installing seemed to do ...

Not Understanding Travel (Cura)

Hello! Recently switched from IdeaMaker to Cura. Ran a print this morning, and noticed it had a lot of layer shifts. Adjusted the Z height (thought nozzle was running into it), but was still happening. Took a more detailed look at the Cura layer view, and noticed this strange travel pattern that was...

If I do ignore it, the lettering does not show up in the slice preview

Re: "Not On the Build Platform"

*note: there is a "hole" or a spot for the lettering to go. I just think that the printer thinks it will be printing mid air. I just don't know how to make it print.

"Not On the Build Platform"

So I'm trying to print a model that has lettering, in a second color. So a dual color print. The lettering is on the top portion of the model. However, when I try to slice, I get the error that the model is not on the build platform. Which is correct. How do I get ideaMaker to print the lettering, e...

Re: Buildtak and Glass Build plate questions

1. using a painters Knife/Cutter get inbetween glass and BuilTak and try to pry/lever it away from the glass. once you got a piece loose, give the BuildTak a cut, may 70 or 80 wide, and rip this first piece off the glass, you should have a loose part left, so proceed with the next strip. Once you g...

Re: Adhesion Issues

Yes. When the bed is uneven and to close you get pressure build up in the nozzle. And you get that wavy uneven extrusion. Adjusting the Z definitely helped. It made one end of the print perfect. No bumps or anything. But, further away from that end, more bumps. Not nearly as many as before, but sti...

Re: Adhesion Issues

.... I'm new to 3D printing... If I was over extruding, wouldn't there be issues throughout the print? The rest of the print is turning out fine. It's just the first layer that's "ugly." Well, excuse me, but if you're new to this small part of the world, how do you judge "is turning ...

The glass plate+buildtak that comes with the printer. No glue, hairspray, or anything. Just right on.

Re: Adhesion Issues

I think you're a bit too close to the bed plus you're overextruding maybe 4 percent or so. Even if you already have the standard profile for R3D PLA, you have to measure the actual filament diameter, enter it in the filament settings and then print a X20xY20xZ20 single wall (=vase mode) and check t...

Re: Adhesion Issues

A picture of what you are seeing would be very helpful for us in trouble shooting. I sometimes see this when I am over extruding or have the bed to close to the nozzle for the first layer (the plastic has no where to go so it pushes up the plastic laid down next to it causing the waves). Below is t...

Adhesion Issues

Hey all! So, I'm starting to dial in the settings on the n2+ I'm working with. However, I'm still having one issue. When printing a basic cube (4"x4"x4"), the printer lays the skit and the perimeter down without a hitch. Then, it runs the first diagonal across. No problem. Its the sec...
